  1. Is A Toyota SUV "Greener" Than A Tesla? Engineering Explained guy says Yes. I think in real world answer is NO.

This is more of the BS Hybrids trying to muddy the water of new EVs, while those late comers ready their own EVs that will suddenly be SO MUCH BETTER than anything already out - copying and making excuses. They are pros at distraction and illusion. Don't be fooled any longer. peace
  2. Never have I driven a Tesla but I want one

A number of people won't follow through on their reservation. Exactly how many, will take time to know. I say, enjoy life, and eventually you'll get something from Tesla saying your Cybertruck is ready - would you like to pick it up, or would you like it to self-deliver? haha peace
  3. What SOC to keep tri-motor CT at?

Mine will be plugged into the charger that is fed by the battery bank, supplied by the solar panels. They are fitted with an auto-stop charge, so it will be plugged in when I get home, and unplugged when I head out. Simple. Most times, I will leave with 100%, but I won't worry about that...
  4. Charging Rivian .v. Tesla Maps

Thanks for this... Tesla's charging areas are so much better. Now, there may be the outlier here and there, but that goes both ways too. peace
  5. What Do GM's Plans for an All-electric Future Mean to Pickup Truck Users?

While Cybertruck is rated for 14,000+lbs, Elon himself said its towing is infinite. The limiting factor is the suspension. And, building what is considered a HD truck is just putting heavier duty suspension, tire/wheel combos, etc. It's not as huge of an undertaking as the ICE legacy...
  6. Rivian plans exclusive charging network

Expect, if someone needs a charge, and Rivian's charger won't charge the EV in question: A charger could suffer damage. I'm. just saying. Not by myself, but someone will be upset and take it out on the charger.... and you know what? A damaged charger won't even charge a Rivian. Go figure...
  7. First look at the Cybertruck’s 8,000-ton Giga Press!

Feeling the excitement beginning to build. Reality is feeling "electric". peace
  8. This African Company Wants To Take On The Tesla Cybertruck

Sure - instant credibility. Why not call out the best? haha edit in: That truck isn't a truck, it's a graphic of a truck that doesn't exist. They cannot go up against Tesla, as they don't have a vehicle yet. peace
  9. German Documentary Points To Issues At Tesla Gigafactory In Grünheide

I'm with Crissa on this - I call BS. I wouldn't doubt that there are ties between USA and Germany, that are being pushed creating bad press for Elon. The American government can't do it, because SpaceX is helping immensely with their space efforts, among other areas. The legacy manufacturers...
  10. Cybertruck Vs. F-150 Hybrid (Video)

This is silly. The legacy manufacturers know that you can screw with the numbers using hybrid, so they are muddying the water with their hybrids. Some dude also put the M3 vs the RAV4 hybrid looking at carbon cost - it's all junk. That's not apples to apples. The guy with the M3 and RAV4...
  11. "FSD, autopilot" or driver error?

It's not even about "paying attention", it is the law that a driver be in full control of their vehicle at all times, and to drive according to the law. Some of these accidents will no doubt lead to newer laws that speak more directly to augmented driving conditions. The best thing the...
  12. Tri-Motor Delay?

Not the vehicles, just the lack of planning for all this chaotic time, when this was using that... now, it's this, that, and the other all using that. It's going to get crappy quick, then you can figure in that everyone is building EVs now, and then the repairs will come in needing that part...
  13. Hoping for a 5 seater option and remove the 3rd seat in the front.

I won't always use the seat option, but it is nice to have that console out of the way if your girl wants to cuddle up close as you travel around town and beyond. I used to have a regular cab 4x4 truck, and loved that convertible 3rd front seat/console. My newer crew cab has a fixed console...
  14. Tri-Motor Delay?

I would say the S Plaid+ may be delayed exactly for the Trimotor Cybertruck to get it's full run in. Think about it, 3 motors (both), 500+ miles... both... think they are sharing parts? I do, at least some. Not every component of a truck has to be hardcore to be truck related - sure, the...
  15. TSLA, MARKETS TAKING A BEATING

The stock market is what it is. Investing can be stressful. If you cannot handle the stress, do something else. Truly. No sense in being long on TSLA and have a heart attack. Sometimes the best you can do with an investment is to forget you have it. TSLA will be fine over the long haul...
  16. GMC Hummer EV undergoes rigorous winter testing, SUV gets unveil date

No, the Hummer shown was the crew cab with a bed, not a finished interior space. They want to challenge the other trucks that are entering the space, with that very capable bulldog of a stance - great approach, excellent departure, and all. It wins over the numbers the CT has provided so far...
  17. Overlanding Range

I do stop in civilization for food and other necessities. But, not for gas once I have my CT. Don't be shocked when an hour on the generator eats 1 gallon of gas, and gives you 30 miles. So, you might as well be driving an ecoboost F150. If I'm getting fueled up out in the wild, be sure it's...
  18. Cybertruck-Making it uniquely yours.

I won't likely wrap my CT. Wrapping kills one of the main purposes for the metal used - no scratches or other blemishes. I heard Elon said there would be a darker version of the SS, and if that is the color through and through, I will get that 100%. I don't want to swipe a mean bush and look...
  19. The cost of driving an EV?

But, too... Elon says he's working on the million mile battery. That will be another game changer. We will see. I just wish Elon wasn't pulled so many different directions now. peace
  20. Did you notice the Cybertruck has built in steps?

Those "steps" are more about aerodynamics and flow than any step that I could step on, let alone have a handhold to steady yourself on such a precarious ledge. I think we're starving for content and making stuff up to placate. I wish Elon would let us know what's going on. peace
