Congratulations! I too have test driven and almost bought the Lightning. Drove this thing. It was over.
frunk is better in the lightning. Seats are bigger and softer in the lightning. Everything else is worse.
I got pucks to not mark up the underside, but also for additional height. I suppose that won’t be necessary. Thanks for the write up, I’ll be doing my first rotation in about fifteen hundred miles.
I am yet to rotate the tires on the truck. I have two 4 Ton hydraulics jacks. Rotating tires on the Y is a breeze.
I am gathering there are 3 key differences:
1. Using hockey pucks vs Tesla specific lift pucks.
2. Placing the truck into “jack” mode
3. An extra lug nut, per wheel.
Is anyone without a wrap or ppf having these issues?
wrapping requires a lot of heat and stretching / pulling on the panel - I am curious if this is related or at least affected by this process.
I’m not having great luck finding a used wheel locally, and $1,250 seems excessive from Tesla. The bolt pattern of 6 x 139.7 is quite common.
Has anyone else had luck finding a wheel that fits from another OEM?
