I"m sure it is off. I think my first calculations were based on a 10% take rate and only 200-500/wk production late march. I think we have the basic math down though. We can always play with the take rate and production rate variables a bit.
I don't think take rate is 10%. It's probably...
Math. Based on reservation numbers being serviced, total estimated reservation numbers, vehicle production rate and estimated take rate.
I believe we are nearing 300k reservation numbers being serviced, 2 million reservations, 1k vehicles per week and 1-5% take rate for FS. Everyone will...
Absolutely right. As was mentioned in the call, there are only a couple ways to scale FSD capability. More/better data, longer training or larger model (I might be forgetting one). Larger models require more compute/memory and that's where hardware could be a limiting factor. We don't know...
Not doubting but how do you know it's < 50%? If it's from the data on this site, I don't think the data is good for much other than "there are orders" and "California is the best state ever!".
In other news, as of this very second, there are no new service bulletins since April 9 and it's...
Why are we concluding the PW has no ROI? By my calculations, the V3 Powerwall has an 13 year ROI doing time-of-use power shifting and as low as 8 years with solar charging.
This doesn't include installation costs, but even with Tesla's estimated installation costs, that puts ROI at 18-26 years...
My video analysis (that no one asked for) is that very CTs are NOT shipping out like they have in previous weeks. There's significantly more CTs pre-outbound in Saturday's video than Friday's (from Joe T.) with very few in the outbound lot. This supports the theory that deliveries are on hold...
After a bit of poking I think this is probably correct. The gateway for the v2h share is a bit different than a typical powerwall gateway in that it has transformers in it to deal with the lack of a neutral line from the truck. Doesn't look like it has logic for grid matching. Just talks to...
Doubtful. Again, there doesn't appear to be enough space for another row of 4680 cells. We suspect the void is for a different type of battery altogether (like LFP for the RWD CT).
Oh, I didn't think it came with a level 1 charger or would I pick one up separately? Is there a way to limit charging power? The nearest plug has a lot of stuff on it already and I don't want to pop any breakers.
.384 CD is not smart compared to? Only that R1T has a better CD iirc.
The $20k FS price will age like fine wine. CT needs to get FSD and power share fully working with load shaving, tou, etc. for it to really be worth it though...
What are the odds they install before delivery? I have no wall charger so I'm curious if I should plan to super charge until they install.
It's a shame if the gateway doesn't support load shaving without the powerwall.
You ordered back at the end of January, right? Seems like quite the wait as many who ordered on Feb have already taken delivery. Makes it hard to predict what's going on.
