I could see that for service if done the same day, but if multi-day or overnight that isn't good. My BMW warranty service on an X5 50E (battery valve recall) took a few days, but they did give me a brand new X5 for a loaner at least. Would hopefully expect Tesla if 2+ days to provide an...
I expect to early testers end of September, last day or even late, then maybe a version or so iterated, then slow rollout in Nov/Dec even to us regular owners.
Hopefully they start getting them to use old owners soon then.
I mean, I can see how people think first owners should get them first, BUT you can't expect Tesla to keep making their situation worse by not installing them on new builds going out only to have to pay for process and shipping...
Doesn't seem like it. Seems that they "met their this weekend" goal by releasing it to a few early testers is all.
I expect FSD may be the same, around September 30th, if FSD does release for FSD at all, it'll go to a a few early testers as well... then the rest of us perhaps in October or...
I agree, if you're going to use ASS then likely your ass is on the line for any issues. What would be interesting is if ASS use ever grows a lot in use then will agencies start charging more for Teslas if it has FSD (a subsection when selecting your model/trim, etc.) and you end up paying...
Agree, fidelity meaning exactness is hardly high with park assist, if anything it is less and blurry, and just a rough estimate. High fidelity for parking assist would be with ultrasonics like many cars have that tell you with your 6" from something, 3", etc. much more exact.
In the music...
Yeah, agree and I was thinking it'll always turn because there is the case of needing to take over in auto park or FSD. It would be odd if the car is making a sharp turn, you need to immediately take over and do a large turn to left to counter, but the wheel is flat... would need to turn way...
Glad it's out at least, indicating FSD not too far off likely. Kinda surprised it hesitates quite a bit at first moving forward to get into a start position, then in its reversing really goes back and for more than expected to adjust - very real-time adjustments I guess as cameras pick up more.
Glad to see this tech is finally close for real it "seems". I'd expect it Sep at best say for early releases and Oct likely for more all of us, but hey what's one more month at this point.
Got the basic park assist today also this AM, VIN 13900 range, in rural TX so wonder sometimes if my out there location delays me. Other times have got other simple features first.
If anything auto park seems like it would potentially fail/stop more often than needed since it way under...
Seems hit or miss. Not sure how they are going to get like 20k sets of wheel covers installed, even mailed out if they decide to (likely since instructional video was created for install).
Seems they will have to redo them again before we get them, or give up. That or they'll make a lot of $$$ on the $75 replacements in the store ;-).
Honestly, I can see them giving up on current owners. At some point logistically, how are they going to mail out or install 20,000+ wheel covers...
Same here, 2 gateway 2 systems with powerwalls and UWCs here on each.
They still quoted end of year for software, hopefully, but we know how that usually goes.
