I got that email too today. I really don't want to do a 3 hour round trip to the service center at all? Why can't they ship these to some of us - not our fault they messed up.
Keep a big Dometic CX100 fridge cooler in back for once a week runs for cold stuff. Nice as it gets down to about 34/36 degrees during the drive there and stays on. Use to load one with ice packs but like the turn on each week when needed instead.
No not yet. I see the spot in the app for them but have never been alerted of one, even when there is one notification on the screen when get back in the truck. Definitely have never seen on in a notification as well.
On the latest vanilla Pixel 9 here too. Android 14, 15 soon.
Yep. I'd assume that sales will over the next year drop quite a bit, perhaps some pricing will come down if inflation slows and production efficiencies increase for it as well. I'm pretty sure the truck will become a more smaller volume model like the S/X, perhaps combined numbers for a while...
Seems like 25-30k order conversions from the 2-3m reservations. That's a 1% rate.
Could make sense in current economy, the much higher pricing, the in some ways lackluster build, and new competition took some. The design is polarizing as well. So that $100 reservation fee or so was really a...
Don't think FSD really updated, just other stuff. 12.5.6 should be in a future update. Hope could improve CT behavior some but who knows. Prob will take a while into next year.
Overall I just see FSD as a helper sometimes on more straight freeway usage.
Agree with all. Pretty hard to be impressed compared to other ones from Boston Dynamics, and the fact that there was NO AI even present at an AI event. It was humans behind them controlling them and speaking etc. Lame. Promising ideas though.
I wouldn't get my hopes up with Elon and promises/timelines. We were supposed to be driverless years ago, and try taking my Cybertruck the 10 miles right now into town without the required 5+ interventions - you'd be dead within the 15 min journey.
Great ideas and tech to strive for though...
Installing too. Will see but don't expect any driving updates in this one, just minor bugs.
As soon as we can get 12.5.6 hopefully in a couple weeks I'd then retest FSD behavior comparison.
I babied mine for a bit, it is PPF wrapped, by handwashing, etc. Then lately just go through the automated wash full blown spinning bristles and all and it looks great and does fine. I figure we should not have to worry about a truck/car going through a car wash, if so I'd consider it a POS.
In al the old pricing thread discussions I think we saw this coming. We went over what would likely be options, and interior and wheels was always a pretty sure thing, knowing that they would still base right under 80k.
Mine does similar about 2 times, completely into oncoming lane of traffic in my simple 20 minute 15 mile drive into town. Horrible. I have about 8 interventions that are required for safety or to not me killed in that single drive every single time - have learned where they are. Actually it's...
Do we still not have any update on the software that will enable PowerShare for those of us with existing v2 gateways, power walls, and UWCs? Desperately wanting this as we enter this next Winter season here.
Ok you can believe that and it's ok to disagree. The CT is an electric machine and it has early design flaws, components to be replaced, recalls that in time should get thru the initial ones (mine are pending), and Teslas are said to get better incrementally as models age. The 3 is way better...
Pretty sure the CT is going to now become more of a niche product, more than the S/X even. Demand should be way lower than what they can produce. It just looks way too different to capture interest from the majority of legacy truck buying market, period. Common sense tells you that demand has...
