That sucks they didn’t solder it for you. If anything bring it back and ask them to do the soldering then you’ll hook up the connection. They kinda of F’ed you.
From what I understand the manual saying you solder the connection is from when it was first released. Tesla has stream lined the install process for owners. All I had to do was clip the connection together at the B pillar. Maybe take a picture of this wrapped wire b/c that’s not clear to me.

I’m sure you know this but once the connector is attached you turn the power on to the roof. Then exit the vehicle and close the door. When you open the door the lightbar software will be installed.
