I just saw the CybertruckCo ones here (https://cybertruckco.com/product/cybertruck-side-step-rock-sliders-carbon-steel/). They look super nice and the quality looks great. There is a reference in another recent post to the company coming out with a less expensive version (around $1K). I'm not...
Fair point. If that is the case, then, a sensible solution might be to simply not replace the fairing at all and have some form of after-market 'filler' piece take its place. Constantly replacing a cheap plastic fairing that we all know is likely to crack off again strikes me as a poor focus...
I cracked a rear fairing (driver's side, rear end of rocker panel). I clipped a curb in a tight spot in a parking lot going <1 MPH - not exactly glamorous off-roading, but not remotely violent either. Still, 100% my fault. Since I need to fix it I would prefer to seize the opportunity to...
Yes, I'm very happy and, to be honest, a little relieved, that the KO3s sound only marginally different than the OEM Goodyears. Not louder, just slightly different hum. I'm super sensitive to these things and particularly obsessive about it. In fairness I have not done any roadtrips with them...
Agreed. The stock AT was a great tire for highway, city driving, etc. Smooth, quiet and durable. I did some trail running and off-roading and they were fine there, too (although not particularly grippy on loose material). My only real criticism was the poor performance in snow. The KO3s are...
Take your trip and enjoy the time with your family. You may well get some inappropriate salutes along the way, but you can laugh that off. Not going on your trip would be letting the socialists win. Canadastan did that. Don't let it happen here. You have the best, most advanced vehicle in...
Beauty! Nice looking truck. I'm sure 50 PSI is fine, but I am concerned that they may wear prematurely with a lot of highway driving if they are under-inflated.
I agree that the KO3s look way better than the OEM Goodyears. I was happy to find, though, that the Goodyears were at least lasting...
Thanks for the advice. The KO3s have a pressure vs weight recommendation stamped into the sidewall (80 PSI at [+-] 3300 lbs), and I'm not sure whether that is per axle or vehicle total. The dual motor CT weighs 6600 lbs, so hence my confusion about the recommended PSI.
The place that I got...
I just swapped out the OEM AT tires for BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A KO3s. I regularly drive to/from Canada and the OEMs are not great in the snow. Also, I wanted something hard-wearing but with the '3 peak' stamp to meet the laws of the over-regulated province in which I often end up. I had...
I drive Ottawa/Toronto to Tampa 12-18 times (round trip) per year in Teslas. X, then S, now Cybertruck. I have also driven the routes many times in ICE cars/trucks. Tesla is, hands down, my preferred vehicle. I have had and use FSD on each Tesla and it is truly fantastic for such a long...
I placed a reservation for a "Tri Motor" in April 2020 in Canada. RN 11338.... I subsequently fled to the US and I'm living in Florida. I changed all of the address, phone number, credit card, etc. info on my Tesla account to my US address some time ago, but I now wonder whether I am not...
