At my home, I have a permanently installed standby generator powered by natural gas and sized large enough to take care of my home and power a Tesla Wall Connector (11.5 kW) during an extended power outage. I also have solar panels to supply most of the energy for my home and a Net Meter. Soon...
I did NOT parallel the outlets as that would have caused a short circuit.
CAUTION - Damage to Cybertruck caused by an external device that is plugged in to an outlet is not covered by the warranty.
This setup was temporarily supplying power to my daughter's home during a power outage. The...
My son-in-law was getting ready to roll out a portable generator to power essentials (lights and refrigerator) at my daughter's home in Tallahassee when I offered a better solution. We plugged into the load bed outlets on my Cybertruck instead of the generator. Powering their home from the...
I had the same issue, required a service visit.

Hope you don't have to wait too long for a service appointment. Wait time for appointments in Jacksonville FL are now out 45 days.
I had no problem with the light. All doors were sensing that I was nearby. Tesla replaced the switch; issue resolved.
I’ll bet that they have or can get the part. Jacksonville is handing out appointments 45 days from now because Musk fired service technicians.
Hope you can get it fixed sooner...
First thing I do when I experience unusual problems is reboot the computer.
On my door switch issue, I noticed that it became more problematic later in the day. I hypothesized that it was related to temperature.
Tesla service replaced the switch. That resolved the issue.
I ordered and paid for the Cybertruck Spare Tire + Tool Kit on March 22. The tire was in the vault when I picked up the truck on May 3. Hopefully yours doesn't take six weeks.
Apparently the service center has to mount the tire on the wheel. I assume they also balance the tire. They strap the spare to the D-rings in the floor of the load bed. They put the case containing the bottle jack in the smugglers bay.
I’ve had my truck for over two months. It’s shiny and different, people can’t help themselves. It doesn’t bother me. Fingerprints wash off easily. Heck, the rain washes off most except the stick figure my granddaughter drew in the dirt on the door. Everywhere I drive or stop, people admire...
I saw a young college student with long arms cleaning the storefront windows where he worked. It looked like he was doing a good job. I offered the windshield job to him for 20 bucks. Young college guys are always hungry. He did a decent job. I was pleased!
Ouch, that's a serious laceration! Another part of the truck got me soon after delivery.
I had the frunk open while installing my Wall Connector and was using the frunk as a convenient table for my tools. I walked into the plastic protected corner of the frunk lid with my temple. It's...
My CT has been in the service center for the past two weeks (Intermittent passive restraint alert). I've been driving a '22 MS loaner. No one pays any attention. I miss the interaction with folks. I'm retired so my new recreation is educating people about EVs and the CT in particular. Can't...
