Cybertruck and Airstream: a Towing Trip Report

Great photos, looks like an awesome trip and an amazing combination! I had someone in Stanwood mention they saw a CT towing an Airstream when they were in Leavenworth a few weeks ago and he said it looked absolutely insane! We have a cabin outside of Leavenworth so we make it over that way...

Took my CT to Vancouver BC

It’s frustrating when people can’t respect other’s property. Did you happen to have Sentry mode running?

Transporting equipment and instruments for the local middle school jazz band. They were performing at a nearby senior living facility. Needed all 6ft of vault space to close the tailgate with that music stand rack. I’ll record the performance once it starts.

Cyberbeast with XPEL PPF Gloss Slack + tint + custom color Cerberus (Ukrainian Flag) and yellow Foundation Series logos

My wife’s niece (in her 30’s) never saw the CT before, saw the Foundation Series etching on the fender of ours, and asked “Is this called a Foundation truck”?

Seattle delivery, VIN 74xx, RN1127478XX, early thoughts

I would recommend pulling up slightly on the covers for the cross bar mount locations to make sure the clips are properly engaged, that’s how i found that those two of mine weren’t.

yep, it’s plastic clips that are holding them on. I posted a video of my driver side where two clips were loose, one was missing the white retainer, the other snapped back in. https://www.cybertruckownersclub.com/forum/threads/loose-sail-pillar-appliqu%C3%A9s-video-of-issue.17000/

Seattle delivery, VIN 74xx, RN1127478XX, early thoughts

were you referring to the sail appliqués (trim pieces to the sides of the tonneau) that have the cross bar mounting locations? If so, those just studs for the cross bars to mount and it appears they aren’t supposed to have any nuts, rather that hardware will be included with the cross bars or...

How far can I get when plug-in home outlet for 48 hours?

They haven’t updated this chart for the CT, but might give a rough idea.

Install of Powershare Home Backup hardware

@Timback Any update on your PowerShare install? I’ve been getting a runaround with Tesla to try and get the hardware sent to a different installer. At first, they sent me the link to their certified electricians (which I already had), then they started quoting from this section of their...

TheSmokingTire - Review of the CT

I won’t bother watching the video to give him one less view, he was on episode of Rogan a couple years ago and went on about how Tesla will never get the CT into production. I don’t give him much credibility, he seems to want to create controversy. You’re definitely right about how negatively...

Tesla recalled the original aero cover design after there were some issues with them rubbing into the tire. It sounds like the new version will be shipped to owners once they’re ready.

Cybertruck registrations outnumbered R1T in March 2024. Lightning lead the pack

It’ll be interesting to see these numbers change in the coming months, especially with the Cybertruck continuing to ramp up.

Connect through Costco is only charging me $50/month for the CT, I do carry a $1,000 deductible to keep the premium down. Multiple vehicles and home insurance with them.

Anyone Decide Not to Install PowerShare?

My original quote came in at $5200, I’m currently getting quotes from additional Tesla Certified Electricians. One electrician declined to quote after not being able to get information from anyone at Tesla on how they can get the equipment ordered. Some of these companies figure their work is...

My CyberTruck and brakes calipers wrapped + windows tinted

Looks great! I had my windows tinted last week and the shop talked to me about wraps. They showed me the different single color wraps they have, but I left telling them I’d see going with a graphic element. They mentioned a 2 tone approach, we’re supposed to continue kicking ideas back and forth.

Loose Sail Pillar Appliqués (Video of Issue)

After seeing the post by @GMONEPEPE about the back panel nuts missing I checked mine when I got home. As was mentioned in the thread, these appliqués are only secured by clips, the threaded studs are there to mount crossbars. However, when I pulled up on one of the tabs on the driver side, the...
