My 9yo daughter has dibs on it when she turns 15, I'll buy another one with AI5/6 when the time comes and gift her mine.
I can't imagine owning another vehicle as my daily driver, it still paints a big smile on my face every time I walk into the garage.
You can also now turn off the phone heater!
Other improvements
Enable or disable wireless phone charging pads in Controls > Charging (S3XY) or Controls > Outlets & Mods (Cybertruck)
Add Spotify tracks to your queue right from the search screen & scroll through large Spotify playlists, albums...
From Grok:
For Music Inside the Vehicle (Heard Through Cabin Speakers)
Activate Camp Mode from the touchscreen: Go to Controls > Climate > Camp (or swipe up in the Climate menu).
This keeps the climate control, touchscreen, and media player active indefinitely while the vehicle is in Park...
I have the same experience, it wasn't nearly as bad under v13. With v14.2.1, the turn signals pop on far too early.
It drives me crazy that it uses them in roundabouts, as literally NO ONE in my area ever uses turn signals to exit roundabouts. I have three of them near my house, they're all...
The change has been quite noticeable for me with v14.2.1. If I'm stopped at a light and pick up my phone for a minute, or play with my music settings while driving on a mostly empty road, it never nags at all. I've even picked up my phone to record a clip while moving in traffic, no nag - under...
My mother is 78 years old, and after trying out my Cybertruck on FSD v13.2.9, she traded in her 2022 Hyundai Tucson for a 2026 Model Y AWD with FSD back in September. She now uses FSD for greater than 90% of her driving, most of it locally for shopping and visiting friends.
She doesn't like...
There is way less nag for me. I was able to pickup my phone and start recording, no nag at all, where it would previously immediately throw a warning.
And it gives a lot more leeway for looking at the screen for music.
Just got v14.2 last night, trying it out this morning heading into midtown Atlanta for a meeting. FSD in morning rush hour is such a quality of life improvement :)
There is a bit more hesitancy in v14.1.7 vs. v13.2.9 - for example, v13 was much more likely to blow through a yellow light the same way a human would. So far, v14.1.7 is *much* more conservative about yellow lights, I've had it slam on the brakes a couple of times when it clearly had plenty of...
Had my first end-to-end run with FSD 14.1.7 this morning. From my driveway to a parking spot at the local Walgreens, I touched nothing after the "Start Self-Driving" button. It chose a great spot and parked perfectly, finally living up to its tag! 🤖 📐
And the lock core is removable/replaceable if necessary:
