Not looking to be famous, just looking to share what is going on and giving updates so others can follow along. Those articles are looking for dirt. The way I look at it, the Cybertruck is a really great vehicle and it had some faulty parts. I would still highly recommend this to anyone who asks...
If you are looking for updates I merged my updates in with another thread: https://www.cybertruckownersclub.com/forum/threads/my-turn-for-critical-error-week-2.12624/
It appears they have identified the issue. This is a good thing. Latest update (Thursday, February 29th):
“Carlos, hope you are doing well. We are progressing through service and technician diagnostic, Bed and Backbone Harnesses - Harness - LV Backbone is faulty. The part is special order and...
I just checked and it now shows the vehicle is inside the building and the front two doors are open. So I guess you still have the ability to see/track the vehicle.
And now it says waiting for parts, but still showing a pick up time for today. My guess is that if they are waiting on some sort...
Update: Yesterday when looking at the repair process it had the estimated pick up for Saturday, March 2nd. This morning I logged into the app and it now says Thursday, February 29th.
What it does not say is what the actual diagnosis is and remedy. I sent my service advisor that question via...
I haven’t seen or heard any updates from the original poster. Hopefully he has an update. My truck was towed/transported to Dublin, CA this morning.
I will keep everyone up to date as I get them.
When the failure happened it said the rear wheel steering was disabled (amongst other things like AC, Adaptive Ride Height, No Charging, No Brake Regen). So I only had the front two wheels turning like a normal car.
What ever was the cause, took out several other systems. Below is another...
Update: I got a message in my app in response to my service request that said they are awaiting on parts to be able to service my Cybertruck. It seemed like a pre-canned message. I replied back letting them know the vehicle is not really drivable due to various critical errors.
Then they...
My guess nobody at Tesla knows about this OR they did know about it and released the Cybertruck anyways.
Remember seeing photos of some Cybertrucks sitting roadside awaiting a tow a few months back…I bet Tesla knows about this problem…and they don’t know how to fix it. That is when it becomes a...
The steering was slightly heavier and the brakes were softer, similar to a ICE when there is some sort of failure. I expected the steering to feel different because it was now just two wheels. But I was not expecting the softness in the brakes. Almost like brake fade when brakes get too hot...
I am on the road and won’t have access to my Cybertruck until Friday. So I can’t check this. Maybe someone else can check on their Cybertruck.
There were about 20 different errors from the Rear Steering, High Voltage System, Powertrain, Adaptive Ride Height, Unable to Charge, etc. Something...
I have had critical errors within the first 260 miles. There are about 60 error logs in the alerts. I have an appointment on March 4th, so I won’t be able to drive it for 9 days + whatever repair time it requires.
It said to exit the vehicle & let it reset, which I did and a few minutes later...
I am getting 331 Wh/mi over the last two days 50/50 driving around the SF Bay Area. So that is around 370 miles of range. On the highway I try to keep it under 70 mph. Then around town it is normal city driving.
Image if I had aero covers + all seasons. You would be looking at 10 miles + 22...
Today while driving my two day old Cybertruck going about 25 mph down the road the screen flashed red and said Critical Error/Failure. I wasn’t able to capture that because I was focusing on pulling over.
But I was able to snap photos of some of the alerts. First Tesla, so none of these are...
One additional note, I got a text message letting me know that I needed to fill out the California DMV Paperwork and they are overnighting it to me for signatures. I thought everything was done via the app (first Tesla purchase).
Without the paperwork being signed and me driving off the lot, do...
