Or...to keep deer out of the frunk. I don't care how good the SS on the CT is, I bet it won't withstand a 50mph collision with a deer/elk/moose without considerable damage.
As far as the Cybertank idea goes, as long as Tesla has that huge SS press, why not knock out a few German style Jerry cans (the best fuel/water can ever invented) that could lock into the vault walls.
Have you ever watched Spaceballs-The Movie. Tesla seems to have gotten several ideas from that flick.
Ludacris Speed
When the ship reaches Ludacris Speed the stars go from blue-shift to Plaid!
When Yogurt is showing off the gift shop, the best item in the shop is a kid sized flame thrower...
Quite possibly. Lack of engine noise and exhaust smell are both a boon. But I don't anticipate being able to sneak up on elk in my CT. I just don't want to scare them away from whatever mountain I drive to at O'dark-thirty to start my hike in.
In the past I've gotten to a hunting area I've...
No offense to all the off-topic posters, or those disparaging to hunters, but I would still like to see more ideas from hunters about what they want from the CT.
Ideas so far:
A mode to disable lights (interior & exterior) and warning sounds (ringers, beeps, dings, etc...) while off-road.
Off...
"isn't it illegal in most states to hunt most animals at nigh"
Absolutely yes. But it isn't illegal to drive up to where you are planning to hunt an hour prior to sunrise so you can begin your hike..
"and isn't it also illegal to hunt from a vehicle?"
Yes, unless the hunter is handicapped and...
The article I read said as early as’22, but since I probably won’t see my truck until ‘26, I’m pretty sure they’ll be on version three of the phone by then.
Will have to wait & see how well the Tesla Pi-phone sells. Satellite connectivity and integration with your Tesla car? I can see a lot of Tesla owners switching phones it the technology works out.
I'm not sure connectivity will be an issue soon, once Starlink is fully operational, it should connect all Teslas to the Interwebs.
But I fully agree that a "Come to Me" mode that could function on unimproved roads & trails would be wonderful. Possibly even be a lifesaver.
I have never seen a mtn bike on any of the trails we hunt on, but then most folk don't bike when it's below zero or 10 inches deep in snow.
The whole reason for disabling the lights is so you don't alert the elk with lights when you are getting to your hunting spot at o'dark-thirty.
One of the things I’m really looking forward to in my CT is hunting Elk on southern Montana public lands. My dad’s truck (Nissan Frontier) was modified to disable all lights (interior, headlights, brake lights, blinkers, ect, with the flip of a couple of switches. Has anyone given any thought as...
I wonder if Tesla has thought of making a trailer/camper with built in battery storage to offset the loss in range. Even better would be a trailer with an electric motor(controlled by the towing vehicle) to reduce strain on the towing vehicle.
