My experience has been that FSD has generally stayed with the car during resale to a new owner, unless the resale went through Tesla (either as a lease return or a trade in) in which case it was up to Tesla to decide whether to disable it or not for the next owner.
The "one time amnesty"...
I’m going to sound like a broken record considering I started another thread on the “EST” confusion, to be (correctly) chastised for my unfounded hopium. Here goes anyway…
I think the Beast is on the list because its price is *estimated* to be $100K. Though I no longer believe that it would...
I am sorry to say that, based on my experience, those are actually not too bad by Tesla's lowballing standards. This is one of those rare occasions when Tesla is actually honest about what FSD is truly worth: Z-E-R-O. Or maybe it's because FSD is just a "software switch" to Tesla which they...
Really? Are you saying that you had received the Foundation Series invite but you are also able to configure a regular one? If so, details please on what options you are able to configure. Thanks!
It is simply what your tax liability is for the year. If your liability is greater than $7500, your tax is reduced by $7500. If your liability is less than $7500, your tax is reduced to Zero.
Example:
a. if your tax liability for 2023 is $10,000, then it becomes $2500.
b. if your tax...
Yes. FSD Capability *is* FSD, including both the current hardware and future software.
(You didn't ask if it has ever actually worked in the past, if it works now, or if it might work some day, so I won't offer my views on that)
... and the cost to repair the Vehicle to Tesla's bla bla standards ...
Guess who gets to decide that cost unilaterally?
I have not received a Foundation allocation, and if if I did and if I decided to go ahead with the purchase, then I do not expect to resell it within a year, but if I had...
You have clearly never traded a used Tesla to Tesla! Typical values Tesla offers for a year old Model S/X are 30-60% below the price paid, in my experience.
I would be shocked if they offered anyone the sale price minus just the $0.25/mile driven for the CT.
I do not believe that to be an accurate statement because:
Though I did not receive the email, the message posted by @Chip Geek states clearly that the car must be *ordered* by December 31st, which means that the delivery could well be in 2024 and the point-of-sale credit would apply.
The...
Thank you! You hinted at the most logical explanation of our not receiving the email: my Tesla account email too is different than the one I had used (accidentally, due to my Apple Pay settings at that time) to reserve. I was able to change that to my Tesla account about 4 years ago though...
Did you mean to respond to my other thread?

Thanks for sharing this very important information. If I decide to order a Model 3 this year, then I will reach out to Tesla first to see if I could receive the discount/email. I do have an active Cybertruck reservation placed during the 2019 'unveiling'.
