Sorry, meant to say 7 hours not 700 miles. You must have had wind behind your back. 7 hours of driving at 60-70mph without wind pushing you is not possible.
After the initial install, are you saying that I don't have to remove any trim from the car again when removing and re-adding the cooler, with the exception of the side trim that comes with the cooler?
I would like to get something like this (with a compressor), but something that's easy to remove when not needed. I only want it for long road trips, otherwise I like have the space open for stuff.
Thank you for taking the time to test this out and write it up!
18% may not sound like a lot, but 82% of 325 miles of EPA range (AWD core wheels) = 266 miles of range.
It took about 15mins to heat 5 gallons to 120°F. 120 is actually too hot. Be sure to lay the stick across the floor of the bucket outside the water at the bottom of the bucket will be cold, and that’s where the pump draws water from. Turn off the heater before entering the shower so there’s no...
if the pressure pump is smart and can turn off when the water fixture is in the off position, you can just get a handheld shower with a stop valve built into the handle.

heater stick with temperature control. This is important so you can walk away and not worry about the water getting too hot.

It's a neat solution to mount this under the bed. Are you using the existing drain in the smugglers bay to route the tubing or are you making additional penetrations?
An install guide or video would be helpful to understand what's involved to install this.
I tried this setup last week. It indeed works well, but it's more time consuming than I would like to fill a bucket with water, then wait 10-15 minutes for it to heat up. I had a soft bucket which collapses great for compact travel, but is also prone to collapsing when in use full of hot water...
we've been camping for the last week and I have setup our cybertrent
I'm camping as we speak and having the tail gate double as a table is great. I wouldn't want anything between me and the tailgate. Pair it with self leveling with the tent mode and you have a level cooking surface.
With those racks, you won't be able to reverse the Cybertruck into a V3 supercharger and be close enough to plug it in.
Even with the swing-away style tow-hitch racks, it would give access to the tailgate, but the bikes protruding will still be in the way of the neighboring supercharger to get...
It's the only tent that can do the following:
1. obviously not cause a range hit
2. when bikes are needed, still allows 4 bikes to be mounted above the glass roof while the tent is deployed (obvious a range hit in this case)
3. allow storage inside the truck bed under the tent (I want to build...
That's been our rule as well, but that's not really an option with a rooftop tent and pull out truck bed kitchen. I would imagine if this was a serious issue we'd hear more about it from truck bed pull out kitchen with RTT adventurers. I'm thinking we just bring bear spray and an air horn in...
That's a good idea. As least for my wife and I in the tent. The kids will be in the truck, so they will be safe, and also can't be trusted with bear spray, lol.
For the bunk bed, I plan on building something similar to this: https://www.cybertruckownersclub.com/forum/threads/bunk-bed-installed-in-my-cybertruck.20480/
We’re going to have two 38qt coolers, won’t be able to fit them in the cab and also don’t want to move them back and forth either. I can...
I’m sold on the Cybertent and a DIY custom build pull-out kitchen, but fear the combination is not compatible in bear country.
Here are all the variables:
- My wife and I sleep in the Cybertent.
- 2 kids sleep in the rear of the cab (bunk bed style).
- Colorado and surrounding states require...
