Which route did you take? Did you go up through Amarillo, into Colorado and then over to SLC? Or did you take another route? I’m in Dallas and wondering about the drive to Colorado and the stops along that route (in particular, Clayton NM).
Although your average speed shows 52, when you were on...
Is there any aftermarket “cap” that can be screwed in in place of the mirror? I thought there was a previous thread on this, but I couldn’t find it when searching. My tonneau is closed 99% of the time. And even when it’s open, I have the on screen rear view mirror turned on.
Obviously just speculating, but I bet some of the customization comes. But some won’t. Two factors against significant customization are (1) the Apple-like ecosystem; and (2) safety. On the former, it’s just like the significant customization of android devices. Apple has never gone that...
Sorry, what I meant was, Windex has started having some discussion of long term bad effects because of the high pH level.
I know BKF is the exact opposite, but is there any speculated long term concern with BKF on the stainless?
I hear you. That said, I’m getting increasingly used to the lack of a mirror. It’s like no stalks; no heads up display; no buttons. Don’t get me wrong it’s a total learning curve thing but it’s becoming increasingly second nature.
Using the spray on BKF, are there any known concerns using it with the stainless? I know it shouldn’t be left on the rubber or plastic or it will discolor. But, on the stainless there are no issues with ruining the finish?
I wasn’t planning to send the list to anyone specifically. I did see someone link to it on X.
My hope in posting here is that some Tesla employees are watching this and taking note of reasonable (not over the top) requests. I know they have people on these forums because they’re enthusiasts too.
I’m running on .8.12 and it still does not have the cabin overheat (or I can’t seem to find it). I have seen the headlines that it’s being added, but not yet From what I can tell.
I just don’t see Tesla ever doing something like this. I understand this is asking about aftermarket. Tesla has gone so hard in some directions (no stalks, cameras vs sensors, etc) and they’ve already offered a first gen solution—the “on screen mirror”. They’ll try to refine that with...
I’ve prepared a list of reasonable requests for software-related updates. I tried not to include ticky-tack items, but those that I thought would be of broad appeal. I hope someone from Tesla sees this list and I suspect some of these may already be in the works. Based on my experience with my...
That was a different rig, but mine is a 25’ Airstream International. I just haven’t had an enough miles for me to feel comfortable estimating what it will be. It was 780 for 27 miles with a mix of highway and street. But my range wasn’t locked in at, say 60mph. The speed factor is probably...
I agree Regarding safety. It’s a bit mechanical having to do it yourself, but oh well. The idea I can get my gate open and restore fridges/freezers is huge.
This may be better served as a separate thread, but I hooked up the truck to my generator outlet today. Over the past couple years, I have upgraded almost every light in the house to LED with the exception of a couple. I was really happy to see that having a lot of appliances and devices...
I was just telling someone at work this same thing. I’m bummed that FSD isn’t working yet. But… it’s forced me to fully engage with the truck. It’s a very different driving experience and it’s grown on me considerably. I had the same reaction as another recent post—for the first ~18 hours, I...
