I took delivery two weeks ago today and I have just over 450 miles on my CT AWD. It is a mix of highway driving and local/downtown roads. 27 (~6%) of the miles were towing a 25’ Airstream. My lifetime average right now—even including the towing—is exactly 410Wh/mi. For a 123kWh battery and...
I heard that there’s no ETA on delivery of the D-rings. It doesn’t sound like the same unknown time in the future as aerowheels, but still no date.
Where the music (or if you’re on a phone call, the phone information) rests on screen in the lower left, you can swipe left and right through different pages. The trips card is the next to last card when you swipe your fingers to the left. The last card shows vehicle height (and tire pressure...
What was your average speed during the trip? That has a huge impact on drag. I had lower numbers when pulling an Airstream with a speed around 65. If I dropped to 55-60 I anticipate even further improvement in numbers.
As others have said, great post. The 3 day thing is so right. I think it may have been 2 for me, but I definitely had the “WTH did I do?” feeling. No more.
one disagreement—the mirrors are fine for towing. Combination of mirrors and turn signal cameras and you’re golden. Disclaimer I’ve only...
Yes, the Tesla cruise control is amazing. That said, once you’re good and comfortable with how FSD/EAP works, cruise control feels so incredibly ancient. It’s probably the top 2 or 3 negatives with the CT so far. It’s been fun to drive, but I really can’t wait until FSD/EAP are pushed out.
Playing devil’s advocate…. So if corrosion occurs, BKF it, windex it, then wash/soap it down in the future. There is no “cure” to it that I’m aware of that would be permanently damaged by allowing Windex to be on it. *If* it turns out there is corrosion, that can be “undone” by...
I understand. I’m just trying to understand the “or what happens?” I understand with the plastic. But for stainless steel, I don’t fully understand the need to further soap it down after windex’ing it.
Funny, that wasn’t me!! But, I wanna talk to
that guy to hear how his numbers were.
and more importantly, understand how good/bad the impact was when he plugged the rig into the rear 50amp.
I just received a new push for 2024.8.8. Previously I had .8.2(I think) pushed to me and then it disappeared. Has anyone installed this latest version?
Oh, I get it! After seeing how easy the pressure washer was on it, I think I’m just going to hit it with that in the future.
What I’m struggling to understand from some of these threads is the need to follow BKF with something other than a windex wipe down. I don’t understand the neutralizing...
I’ve had this same issue a number of times. It was regularly doing it the first night I took delivery. Since then, it has really gotten better and I have nothing to attribute that to other than calibrating it twice. One time I was prompted on the screen to calibrate because it detected and issue.
This is kind of where I am. Absent major scratches, the minor ones bother me less. Let’s be real, I’m not taking it that often to a car wash. And if for whatever reason it does get scratched, a cottage industry of CT buffing will appear.
After all, I got very comfortable taking my M3 through...
Not to change the subject, but what do you mean it’s not even advisable to be set to low? That’s the aerodynamic setup for “sport” (can’t remember offhand what it’s called, “focused” maybe?).
