Use double sided tape to stick a couple magnets to the glass roof and then use a couple more magnets to hold the sunshade up against it.
Some sunshades already come with a couple magnets for that reason, but I'll try to find a pic to help show you what I'm talking about in case it's not clear...
Just finished installing my ElecFresh seat covers and all I can say is that I'm absolutely amazed at how nice they are. This was the biggest "mod"/accessory I've added to my truck so far and I'm stoked about the way they look, so I wanted to share my experience and post some pics.
First off, be...
This is how it should've been to begin with...
Wish I wasn't forced to waste my $2500 on stuff I didn't need or want because it all had to be used in one go.
I don't have a temporary fix for this, but just wanted to say that messing with any of that could lead to Tesla denying this as a warranty claim. I'd try to leave it alone until your appointment if possible.
If you think you'll be changing it often then vinyl should be fine. A good brand of vinyl will last a few years in the sun, and protecting it with a coating will help even more.
If it'll do everything you need it to at a much lower price, then why not. Some of the downsides that you listed can be seen as good things depending on the person/use, so it's all up to you.
Definitely drive both or even rent them for a couple days to see what's better.
I guess to clarify a bit further, the delay that I saw in the review wasn't reported or commented on by the drivers, but it was something I was able to see while watching the video. Might've been on the ThrottleHouse video but I'm not 100% sure.
I still haven't seen anyone complain about any...
I completely agree that a CTs wheels will turn a lot faster than 99% of other cars, but if you quickly turn the steering wheel and it takes time for the actual wheels/tires to get where they should be, then that'll feel like a delay to the driver.
But like I said, it's not noticeable when...
The delay in the steering was visible in some Cybertruck reviews I've seen in the past where you can see both the steering wheel and the wheels from the outside of the truck, but it's not noticeable when you drive it (unless you try looking for it by swerving back and forth really fast)
I wouldn't worry about what'll happen to the stainless steel but:
Automatic car washes use harsher chemicals that could degrade your seals/rubber trim/plastic
You'll get swirl marks on any painted trim/plastic
If its not a touchless car wash it could damage stuff like fender flares and mirrors...
