Do we suspect that we can at least have the option for non-white interior on the “Performance” variant? White and Off-Road/Children are not the best combo ? . . .
I'll bite . . .
Off-Roading - Access to trailheads and backcountry pursuits in CO that no other Tesla is currently capable of. This is the main reason I haven't already purchased one (a Tesla) up to this point. If CT was never on the radar then I would already be in an R1T.
Range - Currently...
Suprisingly the Rivian Max Pack is only 149kWh (reduced from the 180kWh+/- that was originally promised). Still, even though it was continually delayed I do applaud Rivian for at least allowing people to remain configured for that option and wait it out (3 years from 2021 to 2024).
Side Note...
Totally on the same page. I just don't want to end up settling if they "know" something is coming in the near term . . . Beyond 18+/- months who knows but shorter than that and I would hope they would be level with us. They certainly have the "reservation" volume to sell to those who do not want...
Honestly, as patient as I (and many others) have been over the last four years I wouldn't fault Tesla for wanting to get something out the door (even if it differs from the reveal night specs). I just hope that whatever happens on 11/30, they give us (especially us announcement night reservation...
If it's any consolation, the photos of the truck with his son's car seat in the back show that his son is riding in a Graco 4Ever which is one of the bulkiest car seats out there. His son is also forward facing so he would need additional space for his legs as well. With his son in that seat...
I have not, thanks for sharing. I think destination charging would probably be the play if I stick with my CT plans and the range comes in on the lower side. Most of the resorts have ChargePoint (or similar chargers) in the lots or within walking distance so it can charge while I/we shred...
While I’ve never personally owned one (an EV), I have become quite the student of them in anticipation of ownership. Fortunately we do have two ideally placed superchargers in Salida and Silverthorne that covers most routes to and from the Front Range. Destination charging would be ideal but I’d...
Whereabouts are you based? I’m coming out of COS rather than the Denver area so it usually tacks on an extra 50+- miles each way. My house to Loveland Ski Area (closest) is about 120Mi (one-way) and Monarch is 160Mi (one-way). Taos and Wolf Creek are the upper limits on my day trip distances and...
500 was the dream that I’ve held on to since I made my reservation on launch night but in all honesty I can make 350-400 work so as long as we’re in that ballpark I’m still a buyer. Any lower than that and I have to seriously start considering an R1T with a Max Pack (410) or sticking with ICE...
Any bets on when the EPA info will go public? Range details are really the only reason I check in here and on X at this point. I’m honestly looking forward to real life range anxiety over all this speculative range anxiety lol . . .
Well the VIN from the Dual Motor photographed a few months back showed an H-Code for GVWR indicating that it was in the higher weight category so I'm not sure that is necessarily true at face value. Unless I'm missing something of course (highly possible).
I don't lurk/read enough to know everyone's consistency, I originally just wanted to know whether they were claiming it to be speculation or informed. I only commented further that just because someone says their input is informed but is unwilling to burn their source does not necessarily make...
I wasn't trying to side with one person over another, just noting that they've been right in the past and that you cannot immediately dismiss someone simply because they won't burn their source. Like I said, take it with a grain of salt and go from there. All of this will be moot in forty days...
I wouldn't say made up, just taken with a grain of salt. I fully expect people with connections have solid answers on many of these questions but cannot burn their sources because that would have a huge impact on their relationships and potentially those people's livelihoods.
In the 500Mi...
Genuinely curious, does your understanding come from inference/speculation or do you have a definitive source (though possibly unable to disclose for understandable reasons) that drives the notion there will not be a 500Mi version at release? If the latter, what general direction can you give...
It will also help with degradation over time. I'd like to get several years of use out of the CT and would be willing to pay a significant premium for additional range as insurance for this.
