  1. Poll: It’s your turn to order. Tri-Motor for $79,900 or Dual for $59,900

I took the poll without reading the first post and assumed the rumored understanding of both trims having similar range. If the Tri does in fact have 500 then that would be my actual vote.
  2. Cybertruck VIN decoder! -- GVWR Vehicle Weight Revealed + **only** Dual and Tri Motor for 2024

It’s appreciated and adds to the fun/hype IMO . . . Perhaps you/we can convince Tesla to give us a Cybertruck advent calendar of sorts for November. Drop one spoiler, Easter egg, or tidbit a day leading up to the launch event! ??
  3. UPDATE - CONFIRMED: Pirelli Scorpion ATR Tire (and base wheel) Package [8-28-2023] Update [9-11-2023]

Let’s use 20% and 320Mi (Top End Range) for conservative guess work. That’s 256Mi Range. Remove 30% for miscellaneous EV reasons and you get 180Mi. Since 320 isn’t getting out and back round trip and I’ll be stopping anyway then I’m definitely going Goodyear. Add in the need for better traction...
  4. Cybertruck VIN decoder! -- GVWR Vehicle Weight Revealed + **only** Dual and Tri Motor for 2024

Ah yes but on a scale from 0-200kWh how would you rate the pack’s maximum capacity ??‍♂️?
  5. Cybertruck site code reveals $68,271.87 price?!

In all reality it looks like the code for the static page that exists today. It even has the “you will be notified to complete your Cybertruck configuration” . . .
  6. Cybertruck Implications of 2024 F150 Lightning Price Increases

Looks like Ford is increasing the price of the F-150 Lightning for the 2024 model year by up to $9,600. Pro: $52,090 ($2,095 increase) XLT: $59,590 ($2,500 increase) Flash: $72,090 (new trim for 2024) Lariat: $79,590 ($9,595 increase) Platinum: TBD I honestly expected Ford and the rest...
  7. Official Prediction Thread: What will be announced on November 30th?

    Cybertruck - Range: 340Mi - 0-60: 3.5s - Price: $69,420 Cybertruck Performance - Range: 320Mi - 0-60: 2.5s - Price: $79,990
  8. Official Prediction Thread: What will be announced on November 30th?

We have plenty of threads with speculative and/or rumored conjecture but I did not see/find a thread where we could make our official predictions for the delivery event on November 30th, 2023. With that in mind, let's try to use this thread as a repository for our predictions so that we can come...
  9. CT sightings in the North?

I believe Oregon/Washington area for Northwest, Ohio for Northeast, and Florida for Southeast. Obviously New Zealand (South and Southeast), Iceland (Northeast), and Alaska (Northwest) but I assume you meant continental US.
  10. Cybertruck Breaks Down in Mojave + F-150 Raptor Size Comparison + ~350mile Range Prediction?

It's not loading correctly for me . . . All the important details are missing. Please advise! ?
  11. Dual Motor reservation holders, still a buyer at $79,900?

I think this combined with the rebate cap (even though a significant number of buyers don't qualify for it) at $80K means we at least get something below this mark. I personally expect, or at least would not be surprised to see prices starting at $69K . . . Possibly $69,420 "for the memes"...
  12. Rumor: $98900 price for tri-motor Cybertruck??

Honestly if it lacks the 500Mi then FSD is off the table for me (even at the $7K price it's potentially "locked in" at). I intended to keep the 500Mi version for ~10 years (same as my current vehicle) but at a shorter range, degradation and a lower entry price means I'll probably switch it out...
  13. Rumor: $98900 price for tri-motor Cybertruck??

IMO, $100K is only viable with the specs originally announced for the "Tri-Motor" (500Mi, 0-60 @ 2.9s, etc.). Any significant departure from this and it becomes non-competitive with other offerings.
  14. What vehicle are you trading in for a Cybertruck?

https://electrek.co/2023/04/24/tesla-triesowners-give-up-unlimited-free-supercharging-for-life/ That was tied to an offer in Q2 if I'm not mistaken.
  15. What vehicle are you trading in for a Cybertruck?

I believe there is currently a promotion through the end of the year where you can trade in a vehicle with "Unlimited Free Supercharging" and have it transferred to a new Tesla. Similar to the FSD Transfer offer in Q3.
  16. Dual motor vs Tri motor

This (your initial launch scenario) actually sounds very realistic and seems like an ideal scenario IMO. Given these parameters, I might elect for the Performance Dual considering the price point is not far off from the Standard Dual and the 0-60s here (at least for your version of the "Standard...
  17. Dual motor vs Tri motor

Really comes down to value and timing I guess. If I feel like what I’m getting for my money today (Dual/320+-) is a good value for what it is then no, I probably won’t hold out any longer. Alternatively if what gets released starts near $100K and they concurrently note that a LR version will be...
  18. Dual motor vs Tri motor

All banter aside, with a sub-4 second time I’m most likely going for maximum range (wherever that lies) unless there are other significant feature gaps between the two variants. If pricing exceeds that of a performance R1T Max (410Mi; $94K) then that’s back on the table. My only decision point...
  19. Dual motor vs Tri motor

I used to race various dirt and road car classes including dwarf cars (probably the fastest accelerating of those disciplines). Never owned a street car with that kind of speed (closest was a modified Lotus Elise) but I’ve definitely contemplated getting an S-Plaid for my day to day and keeping...
  20. Rumor: $98900 price for tri-motor Cybertruck??

I’d pay around $100K for the specs from reveal night, but with the way things are looking $100K sounds absurd. I’d bet (metaphorically) that we see CT (Dual) 340Mi for $69K CT Performance (Tri) 320Mi for $79K Note: This is pure speculation on my part and if anything possibly on the high side...
