    Cybertruck water capabilities? River crossing?

So is this the "leaker" that was the source for all that stuff a week ago? Do we know who this guy is any why he of all people would get a ride in the truck? Look closely at this video. You can clearly see there are two seals. One full perimeter around the opening on the body, and another on...

    Cybertruck water capabilities? River crossing?

Can you post a source on the "people who have driven the truck"?

    Cybertruck water capabilities? River crossing?

Well, they have built a wade tank that's suspiciously deep right next to the crash test building there in Texas.

Hundreds of Cybertruck castings spotted at Giga Texas! 🤩

I think a 90 second cycle was the number given for the smaller Model Y castings. I would not expect these larger castings to take less time.

The "Dutch Reach" and parallel parking safety!

Like properly adjusted mirrors (if you can see your fenders, they are not) it can take a while to adjust. I fought off and on for three years before I finally got over it. Luckily I taught my kids this early, like driving a stick :)

Unassembled fender quarter panels stainless steel parts on Giga Texas factory floor

Same here, called "soft crab". I've eaten far worse in survival schools, but this is NOT for me.

Unassembled fender quarter panels stainless steel parts on Giga Texas factory floor

I've been lucky enough the crack open some King crab legs at the Pump House in Anchorage and get some Dungeness at Saltys in Seattle so I get that. Again, its just a matter of there not being enough meat in one blue crab to be worth my effort. :)

Unassembled fender quarter panels stainless steel parts on Giga Texas factory floor

Sorry, while I enjoy a good blue crab dip and bite of the wifes crab cakes on occasion here in Southern Maryland, the lobster is the bottom of where this New England raised man draws the line on effort to get at the meat per individual creature. Steamed clams are an exception since there's no...

Mexico Pics: Cybertrucks w/ roof rack accessories (Starlink & recovery boards) and bed vault haul (spare, air tank, recovery rope)

Refer to post #28 this thread by cvalue. Even has a nice red arrow :) Is pretty hard to see without that though.

Could you give an example of how they might do that? I mean four hardpoints on each "bedrail" running from front to back is pretty darn accommodating. tiedown points in the vault floor and rails in the side panels. What sort of design accomodations did you have in mind?

In that sense virtually any accessory is going to be something somebody else could have designed. I mean, how often does a new accessory come out that has never been done before. I am curious about the cross bars though. It would seem to me and I'm certainly no aerodynamicist the angling the...

Cybertruck to appear at SEMA 2023?

Yeah, so I would expect there to be callouts of the folks onboard to make accessories. Maybe its just going to be to showcase Teslas own line?

Cybertruck to appear at SEMA 2023?

That list of callouts doesnt include anyone who appears to be a maker of anything besides Tesla and SpaceX. Couldnt find squat on modalgroup

See, I was thinking about that. With 90° folded edges around the perimeter of the panel, they probably wouldn't have needed the stamped sections for torsional rigidity. But I think Chris has got it right that since you need attachment points for things like latches and hinges and the LED strip...

Rumor: Person who test drove Cybertruck confirms 240V, powered frunk, and more

Yeah, said I didn't believe his Giga Austin info on the reddit group and he got pretty defensive. :) The notion that executives would find him and share detailed information with him just seemed off to me. I've worked with some large companies engineers and executives and they are pretty damn...

Unassembled fender quarter panels stainless steel parts on Giga Texas factory floor

To help the class, I found the following information. In the Metric. Rounded up American below that. https://melindasteel.com/steel-sheets/89-cold-rolled-steel-sheet-3.html 1000mmx2000mm 3mm 48kg 40inx80in 1/8th 105lbs. So I might be off 5-10lbs on the low side, but not by much on the...

So looking back, I see you said some have estimated the weight of the stainless to be 700-800lbs. Even at 3mm, that seem excessive to me. Those rear fenders as the largest panels on the truck and I would be surprised if they weigh over 100lbs a piece. Do you have a source for those estimates? I...

Might not be a video, but this image which I clipped from Bearded Teslas walkaround video. Look at the edge of the door panel by the mirror.
