One of the best color shifts I have seen and maybe the best red I have ever seen on any car. That's pretty sweet. Like it a lot. Thanks for sharing.

The model I mentioned isn't a laser jammer by itself. There is an add on for that if you want it. The main theoretical benefit is that the receivers that sense the radar and laser are mounted on the outside of the vehicle so the front sensor is on the front bumper or hood somewhere and the...
I would say it is a moral imperative that you drive your CT/CB to the show “as an attendee” and park it as close as possible to the show cars, especially if you can find one to park close to owned by said organizers.
But that’s just me.

Yep. Aquapel needs like 10-15 more mph for an equivalent bead up and roll off effect for visibility without even really needing wipers at all even in heavy rain kind of water shedding when compared to Rain-X. And I bet that you would need at least 3 if not 4 of the Aquapel snap containers /...
Anyone done Aquapel? Doesn’t roll off water until traveling a bit faster than Rain-X in terms of speed and it costs more up front, especially for a windshield that large… but it lasts many months longer than Rain-X which has to be re-applied pretty (annoyingly) often IMHO.
FWIW

HEPA filters won’t take out the entire smell nor will they remove VOCs (volatile organic compounds). Your filter isn’t malfunctioning. It took out what it could but there are things in fire smoke that HEPA alone cannot remove.
We had to buy a special filter for VOCs for our home with many...
This thread is pretty amazing. OP, hats off to you.
Since this thread is full of posts from those who seem to know radar detectors as well as 3D printers--does anyone happen to have experience with the Radenso RC M custom install system? I had thoughts about that one perhaps being better...
This company has confirmed to me they are working on a CT/CB version of their product which may be a solution to the lack of bed access from the cabin (assuming the tonneau cover is closed and not blocking the way in the retracted position):

I've been waiting for the non-foundation orders to open up since the first round of invites to configure. You just sit on that invitation until they do.

Ok dumb question that Google just can’t get it’s shit together to find me a straightforward answer to when researching spacers:
Do they do anything to void insurance claims in California? Do we know if they affect the Tesla warranty?
When you search for this you get articles from Australia...
The photo with the entire bed removed and all the parts and wires underneath is the first photo I have seen of a CT/CB like this. Fascinating.
Thanks so much for sharing. I wasn’t aware that some shops did this for bedliners. I thought they all just got sprayed in place with overspray areas...
In the early days of the Model S for those who waited over 5 years on the TMC forum after placing their deposits to get their vehicles it was actually a rather similar scene back in 2012-2013. There were a very similar number of complaints. Issues with the AC and in particular the defrost...
Technically in California it isn't EXACTLY a "get out of tint jail free" card. The wording of the law makes it sound like there isn't much difference between having the exemption and not having it, actually. But in practice most police won't hassle you about tint if you have the exemption...
If you take the time to get the dermatologist "any tint you want" paperwork in California before you tint your vehicle then the police can get very excited about pulling you over and then very disappointed that they actually have to let you go and can't do a damn thing about your dark tint...
So there is another thread with the same issue.
Bottom line:
The shop you called and that the first reply went to are subpar amateur tint shops. A quality shop that knows what they are doing will neither refuse the CT/CB nor will there be tons of moisture throughout the car.
You can watch...
Thanks so much for sharing this and the link to the photos and videos. I am sure many others will benefit from seeing this, especially as more people get their CT/CB.
Another front door option that will be coming in the future that I happen to know about is the "lambo doors" from vertical...
Look great with one exception, and this is just my experience:
The portion of the upper tray for coins is wasted space that has no business being there in 2024.
In 1995 it may have still had utility. In my life I use coins zero times per year. Everything is on my credit card, paypal, apple...
I'm going to try and help you not look stupid here. Sorry if this offends. When you wrote "sheek" phonetically in English, you fucked up. No two ways about it.
You were using a French word. It is spelled "chic."
People will think you are a moron if you spell it "sheek."
I'm saying this...
I see. You went with the battery version and didn't have to deal with hardwiring. Not an option I'm interested in so I'll have to wait and see what happens when people want to use the hardwired version. Thanks for the clarification.
Cheers.
