Maybe I should reconsider the metallic rainbow wrap… Isn’t the Cybertruck for straight dudes too or is it really the new Prius / Fiat 500 / Hummer EV?
Seriously though
”You know how I know you’re gay? You found that note on your Cybertruck”???
Judging by your pics it looks like the clips on the wheel covers actually broke? Also, did you try reinstalling the covers, like they do at minute 2:39 of the tutorial video?
It's a hard life out here. BEVs run out of charge in a prolonged blackout. My in-laws in Houston went without power for weeks once. Tesla made a solar power plan for my house for $30k, but I delayed installation until I can pay cash for it
We use ethanol free gasoline for reserves in Texas...
Thanks @mongo ! Learned something new today
My next question is the wtf broke?
From your images the rear under body does not have an aluminum cross beam at the rear. In Dieselgate part 1, it looks like the rear hitch snapped off half of a rear aluminum cross beam
Apologies that I don't have a...
A lot of us in frequent blackout areas keep ethanol free gasoline on site (for generators and cars). For hurricanes or winter storms we do ethanol free gas runs a day or two ahead. Also we never let ICE vehicles go below half tank
Funnily enough the 2024 Lexus RX 350h is my wife's new car. Bought it as a back up during Texas blackouts (35 mpg on cheapest gas with 620 mile range)
In your case I would go with the Rivian R3. You get the looks and arguably the highest quality EV brand on the market
Dieselgate "almost" pushed me to buy the Silverado EV RST over the Cybertruck. Ironically I didn't because the local Chevy dealership refused to budge on the price
In the end I'm happier with my Cybertruck (I even commute to work when I could work from home, just to drive it)
This Dieselgate...
Have a dad-hack for you: pull out each seatbelt all the way until it ratchets, then racket it all the way back in so that it releases normally again
This will at least rule out a seatbelt malfunction, which means it's likely a malfunctioning airbag sensor
Homelink may be coming to the Tesla shop, as the Cybertruck told me today that the hardware (“Garage door opener”) is “Not installed”
I have the MyQ free trial installed and working
48 Amps seems too high for 240V charging? Try setting it to 32 Amps
I know the wall charger is designed for 48 Amps but I’m wondering if the breaker for it is only a 32 Amp one? Speaking of which, check your breaker
At home I charge from a 240 volt outlet with a 32 Amp breaker and the portable...
Love H-Town, perfect setting for night time CT footage. Great job
For all the old timers, Tik Tok popularized portrait mode for videos. Kids are too lazy to flip their phones back and forth to watch a landscape mode video between scrolling
Are we still talking in circles about this?
The Silverado EV LT and Trailboss are the ones you want. The WT and RST are not the best values
In cold climates the Silverado EV's range I consider to be a must have. I love me my Cybertruck but I'm all about the right tool for the job
Yes but not for the reasons you think
The strategy we're doing is minimizing the monthly payment amount but then making extra principle payments to lower the total amount of interest paid
In the past I would always try to minimize the interest rate, but you end up reducing your capital too...
Tesla will push back your delivery date until the PenFed check clears. The process is you have to send Tesla a photo of the check and the UPS / FedEX receipt with the tracking number
If you're making a cash down payment, then you can pay through the Tesla app with Plaid on delivery day...
This silicone adhesive did the job pefectly. Recommend using some plastic pegs to hold the rubber strip in place for 20 minutes, while the adhesive sets. The applicator isn't perfect, but I wore disposable dish gloves to make clean up easier. I hate working with silicone but this one was better...
