I think the two biggest reasons many (most?) other brands have added them to their full size trucks would be to check for loose cargo and to assist when backing to hook up a goose neck trailer or 5th wheel trailer.
I've had my 2007 silverado for ~15 years now and don't have a cargo camera...
Yeah this is a tough one, I certainly like the look of the goodyears better, but I need to see the mileage hit to know how badly I want those over the Pirelli... assuming the Goodyears are considered the "upgrade".
I'm a little concerned being towards the front as my number is RN1127478## and I'm worried that I won't be able to afford the early models if the price is up around $100k and that there could be build issues.
Being a little further down the list could be a good thing, perhaps other models will...
Just curious if anyone has seen any evidence for or against a bed camera like Rivian and some of the other trucks out there have? For example Rivian must have just enabled flipping the bed camera on while driving (maybe it used to only be when backing?).
Yup same thing here, I'm in Nebraska and routinely drive (non interstate) into the middle of the state and back to Omaha in a day. In winter when pulling a trailer when there are no super chargers on the route having the longer range would really help!
I think others have said this in older threads, but the $100 reservation that we all put down and selected our trim (# of motors) level was really just a survey for Tesla. When your reservation comes up you'll be able to select what you want at that time.
I believe the consensus on this forum and on X is that it means you're in one of the earlier batches that will be allowed into the configurator when they announce the release.
Here's an earlier discussion on it...
Seems like one of the better walk arounds! Can anyone determine if the front is steer by wire from this? Or maybe that still isn't possible just from looking under it?
Wouldn't you have to be able to see the driver and specifically the steering wheel/oval to know if it is steer by wire or not? I.e. in order to see how far he turns it (or not) compared to the angle of the tires?
Wow this is getting exciting, I still can't believe they haven't put a firm date on the calendar for a reveal / delivery date / spec & price announcement / etc...
I hate to be that guy and mention panel gaps, but I really hope that rear door is about to open or left slightly ajar, because that looks pretty big doesn't it?
