I’ve had this issue. Once it closed after a few tries, it stayed closed. The truck kept alerting me that it was open even though it was stuck closed. The emergency release wouldn’t work either. It went into service for two weeks and seems to be working well now for 5 days.

Okay, I feel like this could be handled without a whole service appointment but what do I know?

Didi you get the spare and if you did, what did they service center do to “install” it?

Update! With persistence, I got the tailgate to open. But now it randomly and repeatedly opens. I closed it, went in the house and then it opened. Did this twice. Closed it a watched from afar and it did it again. Tried closing it and it wouldn’t stay shut. Something like this makes it not...

thanks! Tesla Long Beach asked me to come right back in to repair the pedal and they did. They also ordered a new on for me because the fix has two holes now. And a bonus, they fixed my gear selector! That made me feel a lot better.

I cannot open it from the screen or app either.
