That is the highest VIN I’ve seen and that is great news! Production couldn’t be very strong with VINs around 1400. Production must be ramping up. Good job Montanna!
I'm of the opinion you should order it now or the wait for a regular CT could be a couple of years. I did not want to wait any longer. The Tesla OTA updates are pretty amazing to keep your Tesla up to date as they age. Apparently, they are amazing trucks and suspect you will not be...
How does the actual miles driven on the odometer compare to the change in battery miles? For example, after a charge to 250 miles, you drive 100 miles by the odometer, how many battery miles do you have left? I've seen where driving 100 actual miles can consume 150 battery miles.
I lived in Washington State for 32 years. I-5, as all the interstate highways, are funded federally, not stately. I've been to Tucson several times and the roads are horrible. Several years ago, they had a special ballot/proposition to increase the taxes to repair the roads in Tucson. It...
And when practicing without cars nearby, go a little faster than normal. I knew a guy could park a truck really well and he always just zipped into the spot. Maybe that is the trick? What could go wrong?
Wow, that is strange you didn't get the order offer on 12/8. And you have two Teslas already? WTF? Wonder how many others are in a similar situation. For every CT Owners club member with a low reservation #, there are 5 other people with low reservation #. (Or something like that)
“Currently” 80 CT/day is great, but the delivered VIN # don’t go much above 2,000. One week (6 days production) at 80/day would be 480 vehicles. 480 vehicles would be 25% of total production in one week. This does not even include the pre-production VINs. I’m sure production is ramping up...
It is a bit of an art. I’m not an artist. I typically park my 150 out further where there are several open spots together. I thought the RW steering would make this process of parking a lot easier.
You guys talk about using BKF to clean your truck like it is easy. If it is anything like hand waxing used to be, that is way too much and boring work for me. Since I’ve got a bunch of miles on my arms and body, I have no interest in hand polishing a brand new vehicle because it was messed up...
This is pretty funny/sad write-up by Edmonds. "Our Edmunds EV Range Test is the most accurate independent range test to date” and highlight the article with CT falls short in range test. How do they miss the Tesla EPA range for the truck they are testing is only 318 miles? Clearly these guys...
I think this just shows my assumptions are not correct. If you use 2280/83=23 CT/day since 12/1. Maybe production is that low on average. I think only Tesla knows. Again. as long as we get our CT sooner than later it doesn’t matter much.
My M3 runs about 85 actual miles for every 100 battery miles. When I check your actual miles vs battery miles, you are in the low 60% range. I had heard Tesla used a different "factor" when calculating the EPA mileage, which would impact actual miles and battery miles. The M3 actual miles is...
If I can get the Powerwall to feed off my solar without new microinverters, I want to get a Powerwall with the 3V gateway. We lose power too often just for maintenance and then SCE says we could be without power for days if there is a fire risk when the wind blows. I could be off the grid with...
The VINs and production numbers are not adding up. It seems like we should be reporting much higher VINs after 83 days of production (assuming 12/1 start). VIN 1700 is about the highest I've seen here. I've assumed the first 400 VINs were pre-12/1 for testing. (1700-400)/83 days = 16 CT/day...
