Yes, I'm rural with really poor cell coverage. A local ISP charges over $100/m for less than 100/20Mb down/up. Starlink would be a little more but it seems like I might get double the speeds. So it is 50/50 for me to get Starlink now, but if my CB could use it when I travel/camp that would...
Starlink now has a mobile system (both land and marine based). It is expensive ($2500/either $150 or $250/month) but would allow (apparently) continuous internet while moving.
Wondering if anyone on this forum has any experience with this new system, and more importantly with the CT/CB? I...
I agree. Given the unusual history (CT is like no other vehicle ever made) I think Tesla is doing a good job of trying to keep folks informed. The price is reasonable now, but I do expect it to go down (and range to increase both with software once the new 123Kwh battery packs have some...
Probably, that was sooooo very long ago!
I'm actually shocked that I got my order today, as I was number 76263 in line on Aug 2020, then 70415 on May 2021 (I'm assuming there were cancelations). When I initially reserved there was not a tri-motor option so I had selected FSD and the dual...
Yippie!!! I got my email at 2 PM today and completed my CyberBeast order by 2:10. Registered order RN11282 on this forum just now.
As of yesterday there had only been one other registration in this five digit range.
So there is hope for all that your invitation will come soon. Happy...
Am I the only one that thinks it is weird that the CT has NO markings or even mention of Tesla on the Maroney sticker?
Don't get me wrong, I love that it isn't covered in Tesla brand advertising.
But I'm starting to think Tesla may thinking of CT as a separate brand....
Batteries are the key to BEVs. The OP noted changes in the Cathode (where the energy is stored via rare earths, lithium, etc) in Tesla's 4680 battery. This is where most of the press is now.
BUT a much more exciting opportunity is in the Anode (graphite) side of the battery. Panasonic...
I also would like to know about Starlink for CT and whether anyone (other than the Tesla videos in Mexico) has installed Starlink in a CT and how it would work with the Light bar?
Feisty thread. We all want FSD, unfortunately it is still some ways off for everyone. The current public version (v11.4.x not everyone gets this but it is out there) came out in December. The latest beta (Tesla employees or special invites only) (v12.1) just came out last week and is...
I believe i read recently that this forum had passed 20k members. So that would be 0.01% of the total 2MM reservations that Franz mentioned on the J Leno video.
When I reserved (RN11282xxxx) only the dual motor option was available. When the tri-motor came up later I rang Tesla and they said that no modifications could be made to the reservations, but when it came time to order I would be able to configure the CT as I wished.
I don't know about Cybercamper, but SpaceCamper ( https://spacecampers.com/ ) sent out an email today detailing their production plans. I've already reserved one.
This is kind of a thing already at:
https://spacecampers.com/products/the-cap/
If/when I get my Cyberbeast (or Foundation) I'll be installing their camper
Would the folks that are receiving these 2nd round invites please advise us as to your RN numbers (first 5 digits only, left to right). This would help me/us further understand the order process (if there is one?). Thx
My RN is 11282xxxx (placing me about 72k). Based on production...
Yes it is in the YouTube video posted today of the Foundation series online ordering options.
My hope is that down the road Tesla will activate self-leveling dynamically for load hauling. That could help with range extender batteries for those concerned about towing (tongue weight...
