Well, tensile strength is a lot different from scratch resistance.
I've got gun parts that are coated in TiN (titanium nitride) that are EXTREMELY hard to scratch, but they are a coating over regular chrome steel.
This could be easier to scratch than you might think, unless, of course, they...
All of the difficulty, e.i. labor costs, with vinyl wraps, come from negotiating curved surfaces.
None on this truck, e.i. easy install.
Every youtube video you watch focuses on stretching around non-planor surfaces.
I plan on masking mine off with strips, and rough up what is exposed with...
It's not going to be that much. Nobody in their right mind would pay $12K for a wrap that's as easy to put on as the Cbtrk will be. If I wrap, I'll do it at home. Easy with flat surfaces.
There really is no point in wrapping a cybertruck to protect it, and with all the surfaces being flat, it should be less labor intensive so I can't imagine why anyone would spend that much having it done.
I'm no rocket surgeon, but I believe it has a 143.8 thrust-to-weight ratio and provides 590000 lbs of thrust, so with that, I'm figuring just a tick over 2 tons.
You might be right, but when I assume that most "jourlalists" have shit for brians and are wrong more often than not, it works out pretty well for me.
I read this as Ford is launching next gen EV's in 25, you read it as they are waiting until then to inorporate NACS... which goes back to my...
Ford is dropping their pants BIG time, the dealers have really screwed them over and one of my best friends just leased a new lightning from a dealer here in town for a fraction of what they wanted earlier this year.
Instead of $10K over sticker, they are knocking thousands off MSRP>
As for...
Agreed, and sorry for venting my frustration. Those wounds are still healing. It was a hassle having a brand new car spend 2 months in the shop out of the 1st 8 months of ownership.
I do like the way the lightning looks, much better than a Rivian anyway :)
