Your delivery was way better than mine. Waited an hour and half after my delivery appointment, said I had to go and they were like wait we’ll get your truck. It was in the back with a dead battery, covered in rust, dirt and scratches, exposed frunk seals, and a thick coat of grease on the...
There is actually a service bulletin for trucks with these bolts. Mine are getting replaced with the new ones next Tuesday while it’s getting wrapped.
So after some hiccups my truck was delivered about an hour and half after my appointment. There are the usual fit and finish issues including the frunk seal.
Not worth refusing delivery over tho, took her home. Kinda surreal that the four plus year journey is over and the end product is now...
Based on my experience it being lost at one of their depots or storage sites is not entirely unrealistic. They almost lost my truck twice in between Texas and California
At least in my case my truck was sitting in storage till they got tired of me going down to the delivery center every other day asking when they would do something about it. I think most of it is finding the right person who knows the system. I struck out 4 times before I got someone who was...
So today’s bi-daily pit stop at the delivery center bore fruit (sorry if someone here works there). Finally found someone who was willing to dig deeper beyond just pinging the gps and shrugging their shoulders and gave me the Tesla love I’m used too. After talking with him and a member of...
You and me both. I don’t know if it’s better or not that I know my truck is ten minutes from my house sitting in “off site” storage. Tesla has never been this bad on communication before even years ago when they were much smaller.
I got a vin on the 20th, and while my message is a bit sarcastic, there is likely some truth in it. Last I heard the truck is sitting in off site storage and they are too busy to deliver, mean while I'm seeing people get vins after I got mine that are 100's of numbers higher taking delivery at...
I remember back in the good old days before I had a vin. The innocent look in my eyes as I checked the Tesla app, eagerly awaiting that magical string to fill in that empty space.
Then one day, it finally filled in, and my innocence was stripped away. Each day since then breeds a new horror to...
I’m sure there were other factors at play for invites as well, the part I was trying to convey is that delivery timing does not have a strong correlation to reservation number versus order time and location
Just to avoid confusion, reservation numbers just determined what batch of emails you were in for invites. Delivery has been by config/order date and location.
The time between getting a VIN and taking delivery seems way worse than waiting for a VIN. At least waiting for a VIN it’s kind of a nebulous thing that’s going to happen at some point and there is a little empty ui element waiting to be filled.
Once that vin fills in, and the delivery draws...
Yeh, even my estimated delivery from Austin to Bay Area was eight days which seems really long but also I am pretty naive when it comes to shipping large cargo like this.
