Have you been told your truck is still in Texas?

I’m beginning to lose my patience. I was issued my VIN on February 15th. I was told by my service center today that the truck is still in Texas but they have no idea what’s going on. Has anyone else waiting for delivery been told this? I have no idea what could be going on that would prevent transporting it completely. I live in California and the Irvine service center is literally delivering multiple per day. I doubt that getting it to California is the problem. Not sure what to do at this point. Any advice would be appreciated.

That's gotta suck. I'm not sure what you could possibly do though. Call the main tesla line? They won't know anything. Talk to the local delivery center? Sounds like they don't know or won't tell you anything useful. There's no method to speak to anyone who knows anything in texas. Nor anyone higher up at tesla corporate.

The only thing you could *maybe* do is see if the delivery center can reject your vin before it arrives? Just like if you showed up, and there was a quality issue and you passed on it. Then maybe you would get assigned a new one? Unfortunately nobody you can communicate with would know if that would actually be faster than just waiting it out. So you'd have to take the gamble.

On a serious note heard shipping logistics is backed up. I haven’t looked into that however.

I would believe the shipping logistics being backed up could be the problem, but when guys in California are getting delivery a week or two after getting their VIN, getting the trucks there doesn’t seem to be an issue.

Been told my Truck is at my delivery center in “Final Inspection”. Be prepared that delays exist not only in shipping. No ETA on delivery. Hoping soon.

If it’s at that point it should be sooner rather than later. I’m surprised they haven’t called to set up delivery. They make it seem like as soon as the truck reaches your service center they call to schedule delivery. Good luck.

Order to VIN for me is 67 days, but to delivery is ???, Tesla support said that once the truck is at Irvine delivery center, they will reach out and schedule pick up. I am about 2 weeks before you, so expect to receive VIN in about 2-3 weeks .

At least in my case my truck was sitting in storage till they got tired of me going down to the delivery center every other day asking when they would do something about it. I think most of it is finding the right person who knows the system. I struck out 4 times before I got someone who was able to unstick my truck.

More bolts have been sheared, software issues/updates, service bulletin for RearSteer (allegedly)… could be a few reasons for delay.
