This is absolutely a thing. We've had temps below 10F here and the windows are not sealing correctly unless you fiddle with them. My solution has been to lower and raise the windows slightly several times - definitely helps and reseals the glass to the weatherstripping.

Lots of cars allow windows to be locked. And agree this is a pretty big issue - my dogs like to stand on the armrests and are forever putting the windows down. My kids do it by accident as well in the back seat. Agree we should be able to lock all windows easily
