  1. Towed Camper 6,000 Miles w/ Cybertruck - Here is What I Learned

Trailer is an Alto Safari A2124 built in Canada. Dry it is 2,500 lbs. loaded with gear and water a little over 3,000 lbs. Sleep 3 easy but two is more room. The hitch is a Fastway e2. Works fine. With the easy lift on the truck, putting it up to high changes the tension on the bars so a good...

  5. TESLA is Cancelling Cybertruck FS Orders - No Refunds - Sign the Petition

Of course not. That would be a breach on their part. But you want to changed your mind. Totally different question. My example was, I get a deposit to hold, then they walk away. That is what you are doing. Here is $1,000 for my FSCT and then you say just kidding, I want an X. It does...
  6. TESLA is Cancelling Cybertruck FS Orders - No Refunds - Sign the Petition

We really do NOT need to go there. He is right, because he is always right and has NEVER made a mistake or been wrong. Losing $1,000 is not fun. Losing your integrity is a LOT worse. I have been grousing at Tesla for months about my $2,500 store credit. I have called and e-mailed and gotten...
  7. TESLA is Cancelling Cybertruck FS Orders - No Refunds - Sign the Petition

When we put down the $100, we just wanted a CT. It was vague for time, specs ... everything. It was refundable. When the $1,000 was put down, you told Tesla you wanted a FSCT. You updated your order. You knew how much it would be and was given their best estimate for delivery date...
  8. TESLA is Cancelling Cybertruck FS Orders - No Refunds - Sign the Petition

So I have the set of tires that came on my CT in my garage and they have 30 miles on them. Willing to let them go for $1,000. If you send me $50 and I pass by 10 others because you gave me a deposit and your commitment to pick them up on Saturday and you don't show ... the $50 is mine.
  9. TESLA is Cancelling Cybertruck FS Orders - No Refunds - Sign the Petition

Exactly. I thought long and hard for over a week before sending the $1,000 because I knew I was on the hook. I complained about the lack of communication, etc after I paid the $1,000 too. But, that is Tesla ... they only speak or deliver when they are ready. All that said ... I cannot begin...
  10. 500 Miles on my Cyber Truck. 400 of them towing a car. Do I need a weight distribution hitch?

There is a Canadian Guy on YouTube that pulls a 28' Airstream with a Model 3. In one of the videos, he demonstrates how a WD hitch works by making adjustments to the hitch and getting all 4 fender heights to exactly the same as before the trailer was connected. It is amazing, then he takes off...
  11. Miserable Towing Experience - NEED HELP! (Updated)

ouch! we just towed our camper over 1,000 miles from Canada back to Virginia. Piece of cake. No we cannot go 200 miles per charge, only about 150 going from 80-85% to 15-20%. But doing the speed limit. Travel can be point to point wide open but if that is not the goal. “Get there”. Then...
  12. 500 Miles on my Cyber Truck. 400 of them towing a car. Do I need a weight distribution hitch?

Think of it as arching the area at the hitch up. The weigh goes to the front and back off the rear axle.
  13. Miserable Towing Experience - NEED HELP! (Updated)

In CA, that is the speed limit towing I think.
  14. 500 Miles on my Cyber Truck. 400 of them towing a car. Do I need a weight distribution hitch?

Level does not mean safe. You can have too much weight on the back axle or not enough and be unstable. Sure, level is better, but that does NOT make it safe. WD gets you weight to the correct axle and load leveling adds to the stability. BUT, this does not really matter IF the CT is double...
  15. 500 Miles on my Cyber Truck. 400 of them towing a car. Do I need a weight distribution hitch?

I have a 3,000 pound camper and a car hauler. The camper dealer required the WD hitch and it was just a waste of money if you ask me. The CT is more than double the weight of the camper and though I can tell a very minor difference, it is just not enough to make it safer IMO and the swerve...

  17. Miserable Towing Experience - NEED HELP! (Updated)

  18. Miserable Towing Experience - NEED HELP! (Updated)

I had a boat similar to yours when I had a Dodge Durango SUV. I got 5-7 mpg trying to go 70. That improved to 10-12 mpg staying below 65 mph. Now I have a CyberTruck and no boat but I do have an aero correct camper 21' and a 16' car hauler box trailer. I just towed the camper 1,000+ miles...
  19. Tesla insurance premium renewal notice - doubled

Try Farm Bureau. I got a quote from Tesla and it is $400 per month for our new Y and CT. It is $700 for 6 months for the two Teslas and a VW convertible. So Farm Bureau is lass than 1/3 compared to Tesla for two!
