Yes, it’s from Out of Spec “Cybertruck Detail Final Episode” It a long video but you will get a good understanding of exactly how to go through the process and why it’s important to do it the way he says. If you are not completely happy or have something else that works better please let me know.
Excellent thanks for the info. I highly recommend the Barkeepers Friend and Windex. I’ve done it twice (the first time was the night I brought the truck home I was excited I guess) then I did it again to clean up a few spots I missed. Takes about 3 hours but I have not seen a trucks SS look as...
Nice I have to use the simple green. I have some browning (break dust) stained on my rims. Not sure what you mean by Iron X to decontaminate rust. I don’t have any rust. Is that an east coast thing? Car Pro Reset Soap, are you recommending that instead of Barkeepers Friend and Windex to detail...
I’m disappointed for you!! That was utterly ridiculous for them to turn the truck over to you in that condition. I’d make it know as high up as possible (regional manager) if I were you. They owe you a detailing!!
For sure not the case!! Some folks are seeing these trucks on the street for the very first time. Unlike us waiting for 4.5 years they have no clue to what the CT is. My neighbor was in shock when I told him my truck was made by Tesla.
Guys/girls, don’t go this route drive down to your local O’Reilly Auto Shop (for sure) or Auto Zone (possibly but can’t confirm) and get the 18” extendable compact windshield wiper cleaner tool with the built in (replaceable) microfiber pad. Spray it with cleaner and done.
Seems like it makes sense but I’m concerned about long term use of alcohol. Would be great if you tried distilled water in 25 oz spray bottle with 1.5 caps (oz.) ONR.
No, 4 caps is too much. 1oz (cap) per 2 gallons of water is all you need for the bucket no rinse wash. the ONR softens the water so that will not be a problem.
And yes, Windex by itself is no good. There is a way to clean the CT patina to make it look exceptionally good and that is to apply BKF...
I do two and a half caps to 4 gals of water when I do the bucket wash! Works great. I have not had hard water spot issues. BKF and Windex will work on that though.
Do you mean the no rinse wash caused the water spots or it can’t them them out. The ONR doesn’t cause water spots unless you mix it wrong. And use distilled water for the quick detail spray version. It gets water spots out with a little more elbow grease.
Happy to say, the Optimum No Rinse works amazing as a rinse free car wash. There is a quick spray and wipe formula with micro fiber towel that works just as well. Fill the 24 oz. Bottle with 1.5 oz of ONR and the rest with DISTILLED water. Makes for a quick clean wash that’s simple and fast...
Wow looks like I need to try Optimum No Rinse. Just saw a video on it. So I’m going to do 4 gallons of water with 4 caps of Optimum and that will work on the rims as well looks like. Let me know if I got that wrong and thanks for input. Any others with ideas I’m sure we’re all can learn from it...
