I’ll keep my wheel covers forever they look flat awesome in my
Opinion
Will try tire cleaner since they are made of rubber
Probably won’t last long but even a few days to a week for the visual would be alright
What do you guys use to make the wheel covers nice and dark black again?
Mine look faded as soon as they dry from a car wash
do you guys apply tire shine on the wheel covers?
thanks!!
Thanks I’ll go dig out my old n95s I never wore from 2020 lol
I’ve seen videos of guys polishing their CT until it looks like a mirror, I want to AVOID that at all costs
Using the orbital sander with the pads and techniques described here won’t lead to that finish at all, right ?
?
Gonna buy some hardware today
Going to follow your lead and get a 6” orbital sander, makita brand cordless since I have the batteries and other equipment from this brand
Thanks for that insight, so I will move lower 1” each time I get to the edge of a panel before going back the opposite direction, and continue that movement until the panel has been sanded
Do you guys switch pads for each panel? Or do the whole plane on one pad?
After you run the sander over the whole plane, do you just rinse the car with water and that’s the end of it?
any special technique or tips on amount of pressure to apply?
I’ll try and do it this weekend!
Thanks for the detailed suggestion in your earlier reply.
So, once I do the panel with the scratches, I'll have to do the entire pane as per the manual right?
Or is it ever possible to just lightly do one panel only?
And do I need to apply anything to the pads when I start sanding? Or it just...
I don’t intend to wrap the CT so I will invest in learning how to do it and get the right tools, that way I can fix it every summer season so it looks brand new!
thank you for the insights!!
No car washes or near anything mechanical that rotates
just parked in my garage or errands out, but no sentry alerts that showed someone walking up and keying the car
have had it less than a week !
so it seems from my research I would need to get a random orbiter and sand the entire pane...
Am bummed out just saw this today while admiring my CT
definitely was not there until today, I’ve looked at every square inch of my CT since delivery day (even though it’s used I inspected every panel!!)
went to sentry mode and looked through everything, nothing out of the ordinary
can I just...
Bought a used CT for a great deal, it's hands down the best consumer product I've ever bought -- I love that they've allowed us all to live in the future today, while everyone else is stuck in the past!
I noticed one of the passenger door panels had two streaks that are offcolor, somewhat...
Ran a carfax on the vehicle, came back clean says only 1 previous owner
it’s a Foundation AWD, regular not a cyberbeast
I’ll probably have more questions after my test drive today! If all goes well could pick it up by end of this week!
I read online I could access a battery health report by...
Yeah it seems the SC will fix under warranty most of the panels and gaps from what I’ve see on the YouTube videos
any other red flags that if you saw you would instantly walk away?
I’m most nervous about the mileage, highest one I’ve seen used in my region but also going for the cheapest...
If the tires foam separates is that fixed under warranty?
unfortunately the VIN recall site doesn’t check for Canadian cars
thank you for your suggestions! I will def take it onto a highway
Thanks!
It comes with the cyberwheels and the wheel covers. I'll look into what the FS models came with in Canada and make sure they include them.
What about the test drive, is there any rattling I should look for that was affecting FS models?
I'll take a good hard look at the alignment of...
Hi guys,
Like many, I've been stalking a cybertruck for several months now. Prices have been softening almost weekly where I live.
Found a used demo for under $79,000 USD.
I called and they said the car was in near perfect condition (they all say that) but I did pay the deposit to hold the...
