Yes, five years to six years I placed my order within 30 seconds of being able to on lunch night. I have yet to receive the invitation to configure so for me itās looking like five years and I imagine six years or more for many let alone anywhere close to the price point originally promised...
You are not following my point. Thereās plenty of buyers for the current avail CT. Itās just a different market segment.
BTW: donāt want an f150
I bought a TRX in 2021 after the CT was delayed. Itās worth more than i paid for it. Iām looking to swap for a CT beast when my # comes up 11274xx...
Makes my point. CT 20% more than the top spec F150. ICE is looking good and no range anxiety.
a better comparison would be to a TRX or Raptor - since the performance of the CT is so amazing. From that perspective itās well priced - as thatās exclusive exotic vehicle territory, not a F150...
Uhā¦.60 & 70K vs $100 & &120K!
Please. If one doesnāt see this as off the charts then they drunk on the kool aid
And donāt care about FSD included yada yada. Itās not usable. A truck that was supposed to disrupt the ICE competition has now only made the value proposition of ICE much stronger...
Agree itās fair and even the right thing for a company to do in this case/ sell at highest price market will bare (though itās very frustrating)
The bait and switch after now 5-6 years of waiting post deposits is not fair and poor corp governance
At the new price points, the vehicle has gotten to I would imagine a large percentage of buyers would make too much money to be eligible for any tax credit
Well, this is a cyber truck forum⦠So I think this community would be extra interested. That said the press and negative press associated with cyber truck and Tesla seems extremely biased against the company.
Translation: this is a 15 to 18 month DELAY to the product itās already been delayed for years
$20,000 pricing increase plus $20,000 foundation series plus $16,000 battery pack hump = $56k price increase⦠Understandably many here are pissed off
I can only now reflect with clarity, and all the prior costing debates / arguments were being made that Tesla would sell it out of the gate at a reasonable price because Teslaās mission is to transition the public to EVs.
Update, I guess thereās an exception for the first how many thousands...
Exactly this! Very well stated.
I am by no means banging on Tesla, who electric vehicles I am, in fact, what I would consider an early adopter
I am sharing an experience that even as an early adopter and making considerations like giving myself an extra 50% buffer for bad conditions barely...
I just gave an example of 50% range that I experienced last week. I disclosed it is heavy load scenario due to winter tires, weather, etc. Also, a lot of headlines and reality of Teslas running out of juice in Chicago due to cold. So youāre telling me Iām lying and this is all fabricated?
I...
My real world experience in a 2018 model three with 91,000 miles just cold weather has a pretty big impact. Full charges now 275 miles.
Last week I went to the ski hill 55 miles away with the charge of 215 miles thinking I had plenty of range since itās 110 miles round trip.
I barely made it...
My reservation number is 11274X, placed order immediately at launch (Trimotor no FSD)have purchased/own one model three, live in WA state.
Is there any insights as to why I have not received an invitation yet to order?
Interesting topic. I wonder if original reservations that included trimotor and full self driving would be prioritized as those reservations could argue would be more likely to convert at the current available, much higher priced foundation series offering?
Yes. WAY MORE EXPENSIVE.
Fuel costs are nothing compared to the depreciation comparison of a mid level Toyota vs a CT. Let alone financing or opportunity cost of that much money in the CT.
Until the lower CT trims come out, CTs are compatible to high end exotics and or Raptors and TRXs.
Quite frankly, who cares? Weāre not shipping any CTs to Europe anytime soon.
Itās also not the right car for that market.
And I donāt think Tesla is being singled out Iām sure there are other examples for other mfgrs where they would not comply either
Tesla also makes it difficult to snuggle...
It depends on the drivers time and application in different snow conditions. I spend a lot of time in the mountains in the winter so of the three vehicles my family uses two of them have dedicated winter tires. (Not just M+S) the one vehicle I do not have a winter tire on is my TRX because it...
