Okay, here's my story. For the rig, we've got a 2018 Heritage Glenn 37 1/2 foot travel trailer with 3 slide-outs. She's labeled for just shy of 9k dry, GVWR of 10.7k. I have an equalizer 4-point anti-sway weight distribution hitch. I failed to get an actual total weight on this trip, which was a...
I too towed over the holiday weekend... I'll try to knock out a write-up later, but here's what my display looked like for probably 3 intense up-hill miles, just before Baker, CA.
Thanks. Not sure how I missed that in the earlier post. That'll make arbitration more difficult. I could see the arbitrator going either way if the value was matching but it was one-time-use. When it was only $700, I figured it would be an easy win. The frustrating part is that it would cost...
Interesting. I run a separate network for WPA2 devices and WPA 3 devices... I'm fairly certain I've used the WPA 3 network with the CT... I'll double check when I get home tonight.
This is great news... Now to see if they give me the difference before my arbitration filing date. Also, to whomever has questions about what email address to use, check your contract. I'm planning on drafting a letter to send via certified mail since there have been no replies to my (I think...
Both were. I turned off COP, but sentry is still on. It's parked in an airport garage, so probably lots of people walking up to it to take pictures. I tried to hide it in a corner, but you know how it goes. I'm not turning off Sentry, just in case.
Man, I hope the drain goes down. My truck has gone from 92% to 56% since Sunday night. Roughly 84 hours. That's almost half a percent per hour. I forgot to turn off cabin overheat protection, but still. Yikes
I can think of three items that many drivers would want plugged in behind their screen - Trailer video camera equipment (would have been great if Tesla included that technology directly into the screen as well, or just offered a damn app store so somebody else could develop it), radar detector...
I'm fairly new to towing this kind of weight, but a good friend of mine has been doing it for decades and used to be a trucker. He swears by them. I think it's a combination of distribution and anti-sway. I've only towed a short distance at very low speeds without the bars on, so I can't comment...
9k dry. Up to 10.7 fully loaded. I'll get real weights on Friday when I take it out for the first fully loaded trip. I don't intend to do any "off roading," and being right on the weight limit for the truck makes me want the wdh. But, taking the bars off is proving very difficult in the few...
I haven't figured out how to easily drop my weight distribution bars from my equalizer hitch. Seems like I can't get the tongue off the ball enough to reduce the pressure on the bars because the truck follows it up while I raise it.
Yeah, they've actually enabled "configurations" for each vehicle. Which is great for if you tow different things like a giant RV vs a boat or small trailer. What I'm looking for is routing that prioritizes trailer friendly/pull through superchargers. They currently have a "trailer friendly"...
As I'm preparing for my first long haul with the trailer, I'm researching good charging stops and it is taking a lot more effort than I had hoped. I like ABRP, and would love to see them add a trailer friendly option. If you think that would be helpful too, would you up vote this feature...
