spoke with a friend who has owned a CT since last year, foundation model AWD -- he told me he didnt even get dedicated witner tires, just drove the truck like normal all winter and it was fine.
He said the truck is so heavy that he didnt feel he needed to swap tires -- just sharing some...
I love the huge tires my CT comes with, I know that when I switch to winter tires it's going to bother me because of how small the tires will look on the truck.
What are the best CT winter tires money can buy? And is there a set that maybe is a little larger so that the tires dont look puny on...
Just my opinion but that frunk gap is quite significant
it would bother me everytime I looked at
especially for the price of the car
I saw some non foundation 2025 builds and they are near perfect as far as panel and cantrail gaps go
hows the supercharging network? are you ever nervous running out of power, or every stop is pre-planned pretty much?
what are your backup equipment for flat tires etc?
thanks! looks awesome!
Just posted this in the other thread
before cantrail recall: perfectly flush no gaps
after cantrail recall: huge gap, not flush
tesla service tech “it’s within spec”
fuck them
Fully sealed and flushed on my foundation CT going in before the cantrail recall
huge gap is what I got back, and after complaining they re-measured the gap and said “it’s within spec”
fuck tesla service, no honor in their workmanship
Did the cantrail recall, mine were near perfect alignment and didn’t even want to do this recall because of all the bullshit I’ve read about Tesla service centers
this was my first experience and this is the gap they left me with upon pickup
the hell is that? I complained and the service tech...
I held both buttons on the steering wheel and reset the screen
not sure if this did anything or not but my CT actually went to sleep (instead of permanently on park) overnight and only charged 1-2 kHw while asleep after a full charge !!
i dont have a scheduled departure or anything like that on the car, i just pull into garage and plug it in, it always charges until around 78-80%
but this time i was away for a week and left it plugged in, it was doing 8-10 kWh each day while i was away
thats awesome no idea how to replicate that with mine... ive turned off everything including cabin protection at home and it's charging 4 kHw overnight
that’s a really good idea, I should have dropped the max charge to 50% when I left
Now I’m not sure if my 8-10 kWh per day is out of whack or not while it was plugged in the whole time
I have a service appointment in August I’ll ask the service tech then and report back
Cabin overheat protection on at 30 degrees celsius
no sentry mode on at home
weather was fluctuating around 28-32 C all week
I’m not concerned about the daily charge but just wondering if that’s about right for peace of mind, first time I left the CT plugged in for a week straight
Hey just wanted to know if this was normal?
My CT is set to 80% max charge, I went away for a week long vacation and left it plugged in the whole time.
the stats say it charged between 2-10 kWh each day
does that sound about right to you guys?
