Cantrail alignment is abysmal

Just had my recall service done for the cantrail, and the fit is just horrible. None of them sit well, and the service center denies fixing that. They basically told me i should be happy with what I've got, and that's better than avg.

Did anybody figure out how to fix that? Any service center that could perform the alignment? Aftermarket?

This feels horrible, and I'm very disappointed with Tesla and my local service center for the way that's handled.

If you pull up the appliqué along the top edge of the contrail there is a bolt (believe 8mm). You can loosen the bolt and adjust the end of the rail up or down. See pic where bolt is located. BTW I adjusted mine that way.

I would simply contact them again and plainly tell them that you appreciate the attempt, but the work on the recall is just not satisfactory. If they don't want to budge on it, as if you can get a 2nd opinion with upper management so they can take a look.

Elon just mentioned a few days ago that they would be opening a feature within the service that would allow you to basically do this through the app. Seems like service centers are very hit and miss depending on your locale.

also, FWIW, that triangular area where all 3 panels meet up is an engineering fitment and fishing nightmare to get perfectly right.

Also note I’ve sliced my hand when detailing the truck so I would address that if possible!

Not Acceptable under any circumstances. Don't give up on getting it corrected. I am not going to have this service done until absolutely necessary. If and when so, they will need to correct any defects in workmanship not me.

Fully sealed and flushed on my foundation CT going in before the cantrail recall

huge gap is what I got back, and after complaining they re-measured the gap and said “it’s within spec”

fuck tesla service, no honor in their workmanship
