Seems to me that is the thinking of the population today. I am going to continue to think in the long run.We did as you and considered where would we be when we retired. No bills.
I have been following Elon Musk since he first started producing electric cars. I have never thought he was a greedy SOB and still don't . I believe what he says ,why not? Elon isn't going to get to be the richest man , he already is. No need to lie to us.

When we went to solar presentation at the University in Reno 35 years ago They were working on molten salts to store the power. Since that time there are several plants doing just that. As I said 35 years ago who were the politicians that sold us out? Again not to be contrary just factual.

. Been off grid for 40 years or so. If the new folks into solar would connect with the grid and sell the excess power back to the grid, I wonder how many coal plants could be taken off line?

I would for sure get to Austin to pick up my Cybertruck. We would get to see a bunch of folks on our way back home to Stagecoach Nevada. Haven't had a vacation away from the farm in a few years.
