VW is one of the car companies that will be able to use Tesla Superchargers, however as of yesterday the network had not opened up to VW. All I could find is sometime in 2025.
VW should be contacting you at some point about sending you the "free" adapter. I'm sure you could call someone at VW...
I'm curious if when you had the truck loaded and going down the 12% grade, was that an extended length of time going downhill? I don't see the problem if I'm only going downhill for a mile or two. It's usually after I've been driving downhill for quite some time using the regen the entire time.
I've noticed with my Cybertruck, the regen seems to be limited more often than my other Tesla cars when the battery is warm and my SOC is not high. This seems to happen mainly when I'm in the mountains heading downhill for extended times. Yesterday heading back home, the regen was 100% with no...
My wife doesn't like the looks either, however she loves the way it rides. Both in the front and back seat, she says it's the most comfortable ride ever. Especially on our long drives.
If your wife hasn't driven in one yet, take her for a test drive.
Well I can tell you from personal experience. My first Tesla, purchased new, a 2013 Model S P85, had over 125k miles on it when I sold it after 6 years of ownership. It had free supercharging which I probably used for about 1/3 to 1/2 of that total mileage. The car was charged to 80% as my...
That quote in under section 17:00 which is a California requirement for storage of batteries. They are referring to batteries before installed in (whatever). It's a general statement - in fact in the same paragraph they also state not to stack more than 2 packages high.
In all the years I...
To my knowledge the dashcam feature does not capture FSD disengagements. At least on my vehicles it never has. It will only record sentry events, if you have that turned on, and footage of your choice by pressing the dashcam icon on the screen or horn if you have it set up that way. It will...
No problems with my tint after more than 6 months. The windshield prior to tinting did haze up a lot from off-gassing of the dashboard material. I assume your tint installer did a complete cleaning of the interior glass prior to install. If not, that could be what you see.
From the video, it looks like she's holding the phone in her right hand. Initially it's just below the top of the steering wheel, but she raises it up right before impact and it looks as though it drops onto the dashboard and then flies away.
During the 2013 Tesla battery swap event, Elon said it took approximately 5 minutes to fill up a BMW sedan. So I guess if that sedan could go around 300 miles per fill up, it would be filling up at approximately 60 miles per minute. He was demonstrating that he could swap out two Model S...
At the beginning of the video it looks like it does hinge, and you only remove it to access the additional space below the cup holders.
I don't see these new items on your website. Can you provide a link?
Just thought I'd post this for anyone looking for tire deflators. Coyote Enterprises is having a holiday sale. Got the following in an email, so I thought I'd pass it along.
Tell your friends that there is a 15% discount (off of MSRP), free shipping holiday sale now on Coyote Automatic...
I'm confused, I've purchased many Tesla's over the years including a CT earlier this year and have only paid a deposit until the vin was assigned. Once the vin was assigned you submit everything else.
On a recent off road trip that kicked up a lot of dust, I took a Blue tarp (got this for a few bucks at Home Depot) and just tucked it into that gap prior to raising the tailgate. That kept all the dust from getting into the bed. When I was done, I just folded up the tarp for another day.
I guess you could go to your local service center and check the VIN numbers on the newly delivered Cybertrucks. The 10th digit is the model year. 2024 is R, so I assume when you see an S in the 10 digit, it will be a 2025.
