Very unlikely... the cost of making significant changes is tremendous (R&D, supply chain, retooling, training, inventory etc etc). For a vehicle that contributes so little to Tesla's bottom line, chances are that unless Elon takes that as a vanity project, the S/X will never see a new platform.
I said something similar the first time we took delivery of the Highland - it’s so good that it will canibalize the S. We just bought Model Y Juniper last week and same - I don’t see much value in paying twice more for a Model X.

Yes, it does. OBD is active at all times. But if I left my phone in the car the car won’t auto lock either. Once the phone is fully charged it will stop charging and won’t be drawing power anymore.
