I imagine that they will turn off the regen and use the brakes. I also think the 100% may not be really 100% and the regen energy may be used to power heaters or heat pumps.

What is missing is charging time. We have a 2017 and a 2021 MS. Differences in charging time for the two are almost two to one. Having a large capacity battery pack is only half the solution. Larger packs need high charging rate to be useful.

Wouldn’t consider buying GM until they convert to NACS charging connectors and can use the Tesla supercharger network. Even then I would wait to see if it as smooth to use as a Tesla product.
Part of the design is good, part is not. The platform can tilt as it goes up. The bracing feet will be hard to disengage when load is lifted onto truck bed. The truck suspension will drop and push down on the feet, making them hard to unpin and move out of the way.
