  1. Rattleproof Cybertruck?

So I bought a Model 3 in Feb this year to hold me over until the Cybertruck comes out, and I have to say that the thing I hate the most about it is how much it rattles and creaks from random spots at random times all the time. I don't know if it's simply because it's an old design, or because...
  2. Cybertruck Spotted Coming Off Ramp [Video]

Haha love the creativity! Now let's invent us a way for Tesla to keep these five things true to the original! I suppose we could all name our trucks Lucy, but just in case we'd like some options lol
  3. Cybertruck Spotted Coming Off Ramp [Video]

An edit to my post since I actually like a lot more about the new one than I dislike. On the new one I like The full front light bar The lack of door handles The lower sloping crease line The rear truck lid The front display behind the steering wheel The non stainless rear bed The location of...
  4. Cybertruck Spotted Coming Off Ramp [Video]

Haha, it's the original prototype unfortunately. Looks so much better than the new ones haha, although I do like the fully lit front light bar on the new one. I hope they are not done redesigning the body - very much want the final design to be better looking than this original.
  5. The Laughable & Ugly Wiper

I'm not really a fan of removable wipers since you'd end up having to pull over all the time when it starts raining (if not in California :P). That's also a massive wiper to have to be messing with. It's better than having it there all the time, but Tesla can do much better I'd expect
  6. The Laughable & Ugly Wiper

If it makes the product better and in the long run saves people money without adding substantial cost, then it should be a no brainer in my opinion. Hidden wiper fits that bill. Of the things you mentioned I'd go with the midgate foldown as the one I'd most like to see myself. :)
  7. The Laughable & Ugly Wiper

Gotta love the Simpsons :) Let's see how many people Mr. Plow their Cybertrucks lol
  8. The Laughable & Ugly Wiper

I have no doubt it can be done without significant cost. 4 auto presenting doors is way harder and more expensive. I'd happily pay an extra 100 for it, as I'm sure most everyone would. The expensive wiper would last longer, there's efficiency savings that would add up after thousands of miles...
  9. The bright side

I was actually one of them unfortunately. Was waiting for the performance and then they priced it at like 80k originally when self driving was included. I was like "nope gimme my 1k back." They came to their senses and lowered the price by like 20k over the coming months, but I'd already moved...
  10. The Laughable & Ugly Wiper

Ok, to each his own I suppose. I personally can't imagine a single situation where I would prefer to have a BAW instead of the hood opening a couple inches to let out the hidden wiper. Nothing dainty or fussy or prissy about that. Super badass and perfectly cyber actually :)
  11. The Laughable & Ugly Wiper

Oh come on, don't compare to F-150 that's looked the same for like 100 years. This truck is named "Cybertruck", and has a completely flat front end. A BAW is not cyber, and is actually kinda backwards when compared to most high end cars that find ways to hide the wipers. Could they keep the...
  12. Same old story on CT update

Has only been a bit over 2 years but your point is valid, and prob your percentages too. There's really no excuse for them to not be close to wrapping up the design by now. Can you imagine Apple announcing a product that 2.5 years later they haven't finished designing? And then on top of it to...
  13. Sail Panels vs Plastic Vault?

I think getting rid of the sail panels makes sense as it would have been very limited storage and added cost, complexity, and fragility for not much benefit. The frunk is plenty of none bed storage IMO
  14. STOP excusing for Elon

Gonna quote myself from the disappointment thread since I think it fits here too lol. Sure hope these guys get moving ASAP
  15. Same old story on CT update

The above statement from Elon is such BS. If they are resource constrained where they can only produce lets say 500k cars because of parts, then that's EXACTLY when the focus should move to building out a new assembly line for Cybertruck, since it would be slow to ramp up and work out the kinks...
  16. Same old story on CT update

Yeah was super lame. Elon said he'd have a detailed product roadmap for the call, and the update was basically "nothing new until hopefully next year." Wouldn't even say definitely next year for Cybertruck lol
  17. The Laughable & Ugly Wiper

Yup, agreed. The implementation has to maintain the smooth front when the wiper is hidden, and simply pop up the frunk slightly when the wiper is being used.
  18. The Laughable & Ugly Wiper

Wow, I had no idea. Funnily though, if dealing with ice like that, you're not even going to be able to get the door open, nor would you be able to use a wiper on the windshield lol. If anything, the wiper would have been better off being hidden. ;P
  19. CyberTruck wiper Blade suggested design

Honestly what I'm picturing does not seem that hard at all. It's also just a narrow spot that requires the wiper, so the frunk could certainly remain. A hardtop convertible is 10x harder and even GM can pull those off :P And honestly they are going to make it work on the roadster anyway, so they...
