I totally agree with this. They put a giant screen in the vehicle for the purpose of controlling said vehicle. Yet, if I look at it to change a setting or update my navigation for even a second, the vehicle freaks out.
Still on 14.1.7, but Iāve noticed that it will only back into the driveway if the spot is between two other vehicles. If my work car is on one end and my wifeās car is still out of the garage on the other end, it will back in between them. Otherwise it pulls in nose first. Iām guessing when the...
So, Iāll say Iām impressed! I went to the store tonight. It parked in a spot, no big deal. When I got close to home I thought, āwell, hereās where Iāll need to take overā because I back into the driveway between two other carsā¦.but no, it backed right in and parked perfectly like it had been...
The loaner had it but it was much less obvious. Mine also makes awful squealing noises when turning at all at low speeds. They said thatās normal as well. I made an appointment at a different service center. Not for another month though. Iāll see what they say.
So frustrating. Itās the age-old Murphyās law. The SC asked me to come in and test drive it with them. So I got in the loaner so we could drive them both back to back and wouldnāt you know, the loaner was making the same noises. Didnāt do it yesterday, but of course today. So, I donāt know if...
True. But the standard should be that if some/most donāt make those noises, than something is not right. Hell, if any donāt make those noises then clearly there is a way to make them all not.
I hear you. Lots of people would say, "you have an awesome truck, be thankful and enjoy it!" (Not saying you're saying that.) My thing is that we, as owners, shouldn't feel forced to accept a product that isn't working the way it should. I don't want the "it should be fine and if not it's...
Update. After I messaged the SC yesterday, today they responded that the noise issues would have to wait for a separate service visit because the noises would have to be verified by a test drive. For crap sake! They were verified and ignored during the last visit and test drive! I told them I'm...
No, thatās more of a whine. Mine is lower pitched. When I first heard it I thought it was the A/C blowing weird. But then I turned everything off and it was still there. Seems worst around 45mph or so, but I hear it all speeds. Also seems to get louder the longer I drive.
That sounds very similar to mine. What is super frustrating is how unwilling the SCās are to do the right thing. I had a clunking noise in my drivers seat that they couldnāt reproduce. I found a thread here about the same issue with the tech notes about how they fixed it. I shared the thread...
I assume youāre referring to the grinding noise. The service manager last time told me he could replace the drive unit but it might be even louder since itās a ānormalā noise. Seems like if it were normal, they would all make it. I donāt get why they are so averse to replacing things.
The service manager said the noise was from the drive unit. I probably said motor because Iām not technical. Still not sure what the difference is. š
I canāt post a video of the squealing because itās at the shop. Itās any turn, not just full lock. Left and right. Both sides, sounds like just...
The drive motor noise sounds like a variable pitch grinding noise, hard to describe but the service manager heard it on the test drive and said he would do āresearch.ā The answer was it was āin specā and would not be addressed.
The steering noise is a loud squealing noise when I turn the...
So, I dropped off my truck at a Tesla service center today so they can address my leaking tonneau cover and was given a loaner cybertruck. This is the second loaner cybertruck Iāve been given during service appointments.
Iāve had my truck in twice now for issues related to excessive drive...
