Interesting! Thx! Iāll try it.
Now, if I sit in the passenger seat with windows down, and get out, will it stay that way after I get out and walk away? At the beach, it was 84 deg sunny, no shade. I rolled the windows down and left. When I looked back, it had rolled the windows back up and...
I ran into a problem: I was on a 2.5 hr ferry ride in the sun, with mid 80s F outside temp. I had limited charge and didnāt want to waste it keeping cool and having the screen running. It would have been perfectly comfortable sitting in the truck with windows down, or leaving it that way. But, I...
I just went through the same process for the same part. Although the service guy said I could order online, I couldnāt unless I was a repair business. It is a 200 mile round trip to the SC , so I arranged to stop at the Knoxville SC on the trip I am currently on. They had ordered the part ahead...
Yes. I broke mine on a snow/gravel mix a few months ago, removed the broken part and ordered a new one for 15 + tax. Because the nearest SC is over 100 miles from here, I arranged to pick it (and my wheel covers) up from a SC when Iām en route on a trip this week. The removal of the broken...
I understand your concerns. I live in rural southern Illinois. I have owned my CT since last July. I too love the vehicle. I have had what I guess to be 99% positive reactions to my CT. In the time I have owned the CT I have received the finger once or twice. Two thumbs down, many inquiries- a...
I have boiled down my parking lot inquiry response to āI wouldnāt have any other truck. No other vehicle in the world has all the features this truck has.ā I think Iāll print this list to hand the person if they have followup questions - as I leave to do my shopping or whatever. ?
I bought a 120v compressor when I realized the 12 v one I had was useless for the CT. I carry a Jack and lug wrench in case the puncture is too hard to get to with the plug kit. I have the same equipment for my Y, but also have a spare to use if necessary.
Short answer is that I wouldnāt have another truck. This is my 5th truck. No vehicle has all the features of the CT. One trip to service ācause tonneau would close then open about a foot. They cleaned and lubricated the rails and no more problems. Tonneau leaks a bit, but they never claimed it...
My 0.1 mile oil and chip driveway is about 10 ft wide with no markings or curbs. I can back my CT out from the car port head it down the driveway, put in destination, engage FSD and it will take me to the end of the driveway and make a sharp left turn onto the 15 ft wide unmarked oil and chip...
Thx! We have gone to Ocracoke almost every summer for many years. I have driven my Chevy Silverado 4x4 on the sand with no problems BUT always air down. Had a sticker on it saying āDonāt be a clown, air down.ā Have looked forward to taking the CT to the beach since I ordered one several years...
I left a heavy coating of road salt on mine for several weeks this winter and it washed right off with no noticeable effect. There were a few rust specks that also came off with a little extra rubbing. They were probably from bits of metal thrown up from the road with the salt dirt, etc. I donāt...
I use it almost every time I drive. Had to pull a trailer a lot during the past few days and because it wonāt engage FSD with trailer attached I really missed it. Cutting left turns too close, not recognizing road construction personnel with stop signs, and school zones still problems, also no...
Well, yesterday I was driving out of a shopping mall and a guy driving the car facing me across the 4 lane intersection was extended out the window doing something which I realized was that he had both arms extended, hands clasped in an exuberant victory sign! ?
Reactions I have received in the 9 mo since getting my CT have been overwhelmingly positive (only 1 finger and 2 thumbs down) more smiles, waves, V signs, thumbs up and parking lot inquiries than I could keep track of. That said, if/when I get another negative I have decided to do as you...
Here in the rust belt, I have had two pickups almost literally rust out from under me. Case in point, I had a large oak log loaded on a flatbed trailer attached to my teenaged Nissan pickup; left it overnight. Next morning when I went to move it, I thought I had a dump bed on the truck. I hadnāt...
Enjoy! All I have is bed and tailgate mats. The original surface is impossible to get clean if it gets muddy. I also bought the hub caps from Amazon bc I still havenāt received wheel coves promised when I bought my CT LAST July. At some point I will make or buy cross bars or a rack.
