Are you really asking why no governmental agency has made a sensible rating system for trucks?
8)
ok without the humor .. I THINK it is because the terms we use for trucks.. light duty etc are all made up by the makers of the trucks to segregate the customers and make em into easy to handle...
The take away is that while you are technically correct and yes tesla isn't the largest network by locations ports or other methods.. for the parts that matter to the crowd on here.. IE where can i RAPIDLY charge my tesla ... tesla is almost the only game in town!
I get that you are worried...
nacs and ccs are standards for charger ports.. they are both open sourced... what monopoly are you talking about?? You can't develop a monopoly for an open sourced standard plug?!
if you mean tesla will have a monopoly of the charging LOCATIONS... nonsense they neither want to do that or are...
also unknown sorry to reply to my own reply.... the rear lightbar was on the tailgate as i recall and the middle brakelight was on it... law in the US requires a center brake light.. so assuming the tailgate is down.. we have no idea where that 3'rd tail light will come from
yeahh but i am VERY self-centered and am NOT agnostic to charge speed.... ALL i care about is level 3/4 chargers; and all i REALLY care about is are there enough ports so i am never more than 100 miles from a charging station where i can recharge.. and yeahh tesla is pretty close to that now...
text and calls are all handled via bluetooth to the phone.. however since most tesla owners use their phone as a key.. and have their cell as the preferred Bluetooth mate.. this is auto paired..
texts are text to voice.. so when you get one press the left thumb wheel and tesla reads the text...
i am single no kids.. so mostly those seats will be folded down to make it a flat storage area... IF someone goes back there for a ride.. i don't want em getting to comfy anyway.
the only non touchy feely requirements i can find are for canada...
Class
GVWR in kg (pounds)
Curb weight in kg (pounds)
Frontal area in m² (square feet)
Light light-duty truck

2,722 (6,000) or under
Max 4.2 (45.2)
Light-duty truck
3,856 (8,500) or under
2,722...
I understand your opinion.. and the defense of that opinion seems to be.. every truck has always come with a spare...
It does not appear that Tesla respects the standard of that is how it has always been done.. and does not find that justification for doing something <and btw that standard is...
I am still pretty firmly in the believe that tesla will continue to include free roadside assistance and no spare tire.. it has worked for them for a long time.. and i suspect they will stick with the formula that has worked.
since white is the single most popular color not that surprising.

Grayscale colors (white, black, gray, and silver) represent a total of 78.5% of all vehicles on the road in the United States. White sits atop the list as the most popular choice.
ok my guess...
quad 85k
Tri engine 70k
Dual Engine 55k
single engine.. will never be delivered.
Basis for this is the kicker on my Y to move to the dual engine long range was 10,500 <it is listed on the window sticker> so adding 15 k for each engine seems appropriate to allow for what is...
Nothing is funnier to me than seeing statements about what cybertruck specs are for something stated as fact...
there are precisely ZERO production cybertrucks in existence at this time.
The ONLY ones who can with any certainty make statements about what the cybertruck is capable of or not...
i would call the tesla number and ask them.. but i BELIEVE you can order a car.. take delivery just across the border in texas and drive it home...
Louisiana trying to stop this would be preventing interstate commerce and that is flat out against the constitution
so in short you shouldn't have...
people have been reporting a variety of issues getting to their cybertruck reservation pages over the last few days... all so far have disappeared after a day or so.
I suspect strongly that they are migrating users to the new res page as they set up to actually support and offer cybertrucks.
interesting concept with the built in left and right rails.. even if tesla does NOT offer us one it won't take long for a 3'rd party solution to come along!
this is an untrue statement.. and goes with the common philosophy of the auto industry.
the truth is that the f150 has the best OFFERING of services that americans want.. NOT the most features they actually want.. just the best among what auto makers offer...
while that may seem nit picky it...
