if you were starting a new line at an existing plant.. would you
a> hire nubs off the street that know NOTHING about working at the plant
b> move people from the existing lines to the new line and hire nubs for the existing lines where knowledgeable people can train them??
I am betting...
the goal is to move towards electric vehicles... I tend to agree they are going to do the highest trim they can build at the max speed the factory can go.. so if they can't sell every vehicle they can build with tri motors.. then they will build 2 etc..
the goal is to get all they can build...
only paritally true.. they establish a price they want to sale at and maintain it.. UNTIL inventory starts to back up.. THEN they lower the price/add incentives.
so they DO adjust based on demand just generally only adjusting downward.
think about how tesla builds vehicles.. every vehicle other than plaids is a cookie cutter design.. NO major changes to the line.. 4 wheel steering isn't just putting a motor into an existing bracket/space.. that is a LOT of changes.. they would have to overhaul the line just to change to the...
not fake .. i am VERY sure of that as it came in the same text thread <number> all the other test messages i got from tesla came in while finalizing/picking up my model y.
this appears to have been triggered automatigly when people fill out the trade in form on the cybertruck home page that...
Based on this 2015 article about the frunk on the Model 3.. not really no

This site gives you a pretty good breakdown of the vin's for the entire sexy lineup and the roadster
https://www.findmyelectric.com/tesla-vin-decoder/
i used it to check the vin i was given on my Y
Stupid thing
based on the ordering of my Model y LR 2 weeks ago the vin only gets assigned as the vehicle is done/almost done.. i got my VIN on a Thursday and the car was ready to pick up in fort worth the following Monday... so those will take a bit.
you don't on a normal basis drive around with something poking out your powered window .. and if you do that is most certainly not an anticipated use... on a reach through, however, driving around with something extended into the bed is the EXACT use case it is designed for. I can almost...
Sorry for the armature job of whiting out a name... but hey ... this is for those that haven't had their page updated not a huge thing but like I said at least we know they are preparing the page for more.
well the text rolls on for a bit; including "Please reply to this message with the best time to connect....
so i of course replied ANY TIME!! laughs who on HERE wouldn't wanna connect to tesla about a cybertruck...
THEN they replied they don't have any updates at this time... someone had...
remember them showing off the ramp at the reveal?
remember Elon talking about how he hates companies that show cool features during a reveal that never make it to production?
Pretty sure we will have a ramp. Powered.. not sure i care but it shouldn't be a huge feat of engineering
for me.. it was .. i do believe triggered by me going to the trade in link on the cybertruck page...
i get a text from em occasionally asking if i have questions etc because i am a new owner...so i can pretty much guarantee it is from tesla .. came from the same number.
i tell my passengers i KNOW i am not going to hit anyone. If i go faster than everyone else no one can hit me... THEREFOR the safest way for me to drive is to go faster than everyone else.
