It's discussed here: https://www.cybertruckownersclub.com/forum/threads/what-are-these-holes-for.40748/
The extra slat apparently is not the fix for water ingress in the bed though.
My CT is at SC now for the same rattle and literally just asked them to specifically look at the Airwave Module and the Mid Panel Assembly.
I'll come back here and post their findings. Someone might have to remind me to update you though lol.
My driver side has the seal but its buried deep in there. It's so out of place.
SC said, if there's no water ingress, don't worry about it. They really hate removing cantrails because they're a pain to re-install properly.
I hate knowing the seal is not doing what it was designed to do but I...
I thought I was "settling" for the gray because I couldn't justify the cost of ordering the CT with the white trim.
But then Tesla offered me a test drive of a CT with the gray interior and I was immediately sold on it.
I saw someone else's FS CT in person and boy was I disappointed in the...
Has anyone else made an attempt to make adjustments. Or even remove and install the cantrail without screwing it up further?
Im considering removing the cantrail in order to fix the rubber seal or gasket that runs between the windshield and the cantrail. It's not on properly.
My understanding is that this gap is where water drains out of the bed. Should you have water find its way into the bed, would this rubber seal still allow the water to drain?
I know they can adjust it. We all know that. The question is: why in the world do these techs return someone's truck back to the customer like this? That's ridiculous.
It's just a form of speaking. Just like people "pull engines" out of cars. We all know there's a lot more involved in removing an engine than just "pulling".
Why am I having this conversation? Lol
Dude u can have the last word. I digress.
Not one vehicle, multiple vehicles in different states with different climates and conditions, especially during winter. Research and development was performed before they launched these magnets. I can understand you having concerns but you sound so convinced that they'll blow off. This isn't a...
They've been tested thoroughly; they're not blowing off. You have testimonials of people driving for months with them and you still won't believe they won't blow off?
Ah ok.
I'd love to just stick a piece of foam in-between the panel and the frame and just call it a day. Idk if I want to remove the interior door panels though...I just know I'd break a several clips while trying.
