Actually... from what I could tell, with my untrained eyes, those crush structures weren't damaged at all. They're mighty solid; very impressive.
I'll upload parts list as soon as available to me
Minor update.
Collision center says trailer hitch took all or most of the damage. Aside from bumper, hitch and possible tailgate, there are 3 additional parts to be ordered. My guess are some brackets surrounding the hitch.
Timeline for repairs:
The tech said if it were just bumper, tailgate...
I agree with you but it doesn't "feel right."
Feels like there's something seriously wrong with the truck even though there isn't.
Luckily I've only experience it once.
Haha!
I didn't realize how that came out. I didn't mean to disparage tesla service at all. I only said what I said because:
I had a bluetooth issue from a software update and took it for service. They replaced a part under the headliner and fixed it. But...now I had an annoying noise coming...
I'm glad to give you the sense of relief. I was so damn worried when it happened to me; and I was an hour and a half from home with my wife and kids!
I wouldn't let service fiddle with the truck if I were you. I would only have a conversation with the tech about it at first. In my experience...
On Dec. 22 I experienced the same thing with the brakes/regen. It only happened at very slow speeds like you mentioned. Felt like a gas car that was misfiring or about to run out gas and die.

My appointment for repairs is Jan 10 at a Tesla Collision center in Paramus, NJ. (I made the appointment the same night of the accident, Dec 20)
The adjuster estimated it would take $1,500 to fix the damage and a few days later they paid $1k to Tesla Collision.
When I saw that payment, I...
It's ridiculous how the victim pays twice for someone else's wrong doing. I feel like there should be legislation against that. If you're not at fault then you should be NOT AT FAULT!
I agree with you brother and was already aware of this. I asked her the question only to try to break the awkwardness that was happening.
I've seen so many "1st amendment auditor" videos on YouTube. I've learned more about my rights through those videos than anywhere else.
I truly believed...
Rear-ending a car with 7 cameras and then thinking "let me not apologizes because I'll look less guilty that way..."
In the end it doesn't matter, legally, if she apologized to me or not because it's always going to be "he said, she said." It's what she tells the police that's really relevant...
