I Knew this was the case, but assumed the break even point was somewhere closer to 70, and knowing that I would never drive that slow, I never wanted to know the break even point (Feels like torture going that slow). This is good news.
I'm curious what the efficiency is on these. Inductive charging it's incredibly wasteful. I love it for my phone, and it uses magnets to ensure perfect alignment, and it's still not that efficient. If this charges at 25Kw, yet uses 35Kw of power to do so, it'll be a noticeable hit on the...
Once Tesla squeezes the last drop out of people willing to buy the AWD. They will put out the RWD. Not hating on Tesla, I’d do the same. Until they can can build as many units as there are in order, there will be no need to change prices, or make a cheaper version.
It’s no 60’s car with a “drive in theater” rear seat?. But it’s much bigger than my Model S rear seat, and my neighbors’ 2500 series. Also the rear doors open out to 99 degrees, which is huge.
Just specked out the exact same truck I got, and it was $2000 more than what i paid for FS CB. Minus the power share and light bar that I also (will) get. Does that seem right?
Almost all limited edition runs of anything, have a final number, that’s what makes it limited. and when get one there is usually a placar that says # of #. So you know how rare it is. Tesla shouldn’t must be making them, until they run out of parts, or demand dies, they could of known, they...
It has nothing to do with math, it was just a ( what I thought) fun observation. It is most likely not the actual 60,000th, it even says it “commemorating” the 60,000th charging post. Which was my point, that it’s actually the 60,000th and/or 600th together.
When you say solo, do you mean driving it, or actually loading into the truck/trailer? I wouldn't recommend loading solo, unless you are using a forklift or something.
I get that, do you get that for something to be numbered in the different numbering systems(global and Japanese) with the same number (not the same number, but significant number), to be very rare. Do you think they were installing the 60,000th, and it was a coincidence that in the same...
Right, but next to it is 60,000th global, that couldn't have been installed at the same time. unless 600th one was also the 59,989th - 60,011th globally (12 chargers at that station)
Curious how they did the 600th(Japan) and 60,000th(global) in the same lot at the same time. One has to have been installed before the other, and that would make them one apart. I guess they could have installed the 600th(Japan) as 59,400, then wait until another 599 where installed, then...
By the time anything would come of this, the charging issue will be gone. You’ll be able to super charge to 80% in minutes, and there would be no need for this. Would be cool, but the logistics would be a nightmare, who pays for the electricity, the infrastructure, etc.
Tesla doesn't do model years, they make updates and improvements throughout the year, they don't wait to make a new model at the end of each year. Search for 2016 Model S images, there are 2 very different front ends for that same year, they just started updating the front end about midway...
This isn't true, wider tires, still have support directly under the pivot point, so the torque placed on the axel, doesn't increase. It's easier to think about these changes when thinking about the extreme case. i.e. imagine a 12 foot longer spacer on each side. The axel/hub would want to...
The walk still looks like it had the "all you can eat TacoBell" fiesta, They should be training it on actual humans walking, to make it look more natural.
I ordered my truck in 6/21. My purchase agreement says it includes a voucher to purchase the equipment, but nothing about taxes. Has anyone else ordered there’s and paid the taxes?
