Here's some hope. I just got my Cyberbeast VIN in Michigan. RN RN11278XXXX. Configuration 12/26/23. VIN: 0094XX. Seemed like Michigan was being ignored, but past few weeks have seen an uptick in deliveries. We have to have proof of insurance and full payment before they'll ship into the...
I got my VIN yesterday and I'm moving money around to complete the next steps:
Location: Michigan
RN: 11278XXXX
VIN: 0094XX
Configuration Date: 12/26/23
No mention of stock owner acceleration. I'm a long time owner of 409 shares and submitted that information, but didn't expect anything...
Got notification of VIN via app by request to complete insurance and in-app text. Cyberbeast
1) The first 5 digits of your RN11278
2) The date configured your truck 12/26/23
3) The date you received your VIN 5/12/24
4) The number range of your VIN 094XX
5) The Date you will take delivery: [None...
Thanks. I'm not seeing an actual VIN in the app, so I guess I'll need to obtain that before I can obtain the proof of insurance. Mo said specifically "A vehicle has been assigned.." so maybe the app and account takes time to update.
edit: I can see a VIN when I proceed in the "provide...
Just got a text from Mo, who I think is at the Clarkston location. He said that a vehicle has been assigned and I need to complete insurance and pre-payment (proof of lease/loan application or submition of payment) prior to delivery into Michigan. Knowing the complexity of Michigan deliveries...
Thanks for the reality check. I'm happy to see at least some progress, but yeah, I won't be giving final payment until I can see run through a delivery checklist.
I hope that it's just for change orders. My original 12/26 configuration said mid to late 2024, which I'm interpreting as June-Dec. I'm torn between hoping for a third quarter delivery, or changing to gray and targeting fourth quarter.
I was hoping they were going to talk more about the metal composition analysis from the XRF. Interesting that different metals are used on the front vs sides, but it would be nice to finally know alloy composition percentages so we can compare them against other known SS alloys.
I'm no...
Jealous and slightly encouraged by all the AWD VINS rolling out in Michigan. Reminding myself that the Beast will be worth the "mid to late 2024" wait and finally visiting the Clarkston service center to physically check out the truck. Seemed like MI was getting the shaft when it came to any...
They keep saying that, of the two power packs on the rack, one is 100% torque assist and the other is redundant. I wonder if they tested this because in their earlier interview the head Tesla engineers said that, while each power pack is capable of providing 100% necessary torque, during normal...
You're correct. The handwheel actuator (steering wheel motor) receives road wheel actuator(s) (steering rack power pack) sensors various data and translates that into handwheel torque for the drivers road feel feedback. Software *could* be in place to negate certain road or vehicle feels, like...
Wouldn't it have been nice to have 409 before first split. I think I had 25 or so before first split then later picked some more up after the second split.
Seems like this is just a next filtering step. I only have 409 shares, almost all before the first stock split and I received this email to upload more documentation.
There are a few ways to provide redundancy in a single power pack power steering unit (EPS). From what I've heard, in Tesla legacy steering products, they have 2 ECU's controlling the EPS steering power pack, but only 1 is energizing the coils to the power pack at a time. The second ECU is...
I configured on 12/26 as well but with a Cyberbeast, so I'll just patiently wait. Also only have 409 stock, so I'm not getting it early that route either. PIng me when you know the details of your meet up. I'd love to see it beyond the ropes.
